the audi advert with a cover of the song 'homeward bound' as the theme. Doesn't fit at all and is quite annoying, to me anyway.

Nationwide and their ads with people sat in front of the camera smugly reciting crappy poetry about everyday st.

It doesn't help that I despise poetry but I just find those adverts unbearable, will dive for the mute button.
I had the misfortune to see one of these ads last night. It wasn't just the poetry: the use of Nimrod to help sell mortgages is a heinous crime.
My other half saw one and was sure they had got Ellen DeGeneres to front it.

Just leave The Boss by James Brown alone.

Oh and the steering wheel is on the wrong side, couldn't even be a***d to do another take for RHD Markets.

Does not annoy me but I think it is a weird bit of 'acting'.

The Malteasers/Easter bunny ad with the lovely Katherine Parkinson and Amanda Abbington.cloud9 When she is trying to grab the bunny it is cringeworthy.

"Vehicle featured may differ from UK specifications"

laugh

If you look at nearly all car adverts the registration letters will be symmetrical. So "808 TIT" So when they flip the image in post production it's still readable.

Saw a Mercedes promo the other day and the plate was German so it looked weird back to front.

EDITED

Added the underlined WORD IN As thick posters get confused and don't read the bit in bold laugh

pretty sure that's bks. It would take about 5 seconds to photoshop the reg the right way round, or put a locally relevant one on instead.

Is it just me or anyone else drawn to punch the smug look off Ben Ainslies face in the latest Land Rover ad for the new Discovery?

Probably been done before, but that "mooonn rrivverr" Galaxy chocolate bus advert. It's been on for years and never seems to end. Sh*t storyline, sh*t characters and sh*t music.

It has indeed been done before, but that in no way detracts from the fact it is a very irritating advert.

At the cinemas over the weekend waiting for T2 to start and an advert comes on with a young girl in her bedroom sat on her bed. In the corner is a creepy looking man telling her how she enjoyed it and it made her tingle etc....Just when you think its an advert for child abuse the guy disappears and in his place is laptop with a betting/bingo site on screen. The girl then gives in and goes over to the laptop. More disturbing than annoying.

Oak Furniture Land or whatever it's called. The premise being that their st furniture is somehow superior because it's made of cheap Oak. Even though it looks like it was designed by a 4 year old with a crayon, and ignoring the fact that some of the finest furniture ever made was veneered....
Have you noticed that they are now not pushing the "100% oak" and have moved onto "100% hardwood"? Give it a couple of years and it'll be "100% solid wood" then "100% real wood".

The Alpro white stuff in cartons advert; possibly the most teeth-itchingly annoying jingle. I'm also curious how you milk an almond, but it's mostly the music which is irking me.

Another WTF here for V.I.Poo when I saw that earlier on laugh

I've also just seen an advert for the new Smart Brabus edition featuring a heavily simulated exhaust note, clearly from a car with a much bigger / sportier engine, played over the parts of the advert where the car is accelerating frown

Although I assume that will more than likely form part of the marketing for the car given the number of cars featuring fake exhaust notes being played through the stereo / speakers nowadays frown

I quite like it, but I don't really get the point of the Advert as Audi don't race at Le Mans any more after withdrawing last year.

Saw the V.I.Poo one at 6.45 this morning. Didn't realise my jaw could drop so much! Had to rewind it and show my wife to confirm I wasn't imagining it!
"Punish the porcelain", "The Devils dumplings", animated chocolate donuts in the bowl!
Definitely pushed the boundaries (or plumbs new depths - no pun intended) of TV ads IMO.
Who dreams up such a product in the first place?
