I think it was the 31 pages of the epic thread in GG that dumbed my intelligence

My wife grew up on a US Fighter base in Japan.
Apparently, watching this in a cinema full of F15 pilots sort of spoiled it smile

This film has one of the best opening sequences you will ever see, downhill from there I'm afraid. I'll be your wingman anytime, yuk....

Soundtrack is good, but it irritates me using F5s as Mig 21s.

But, watching it now, it is in retrospect an utterly appalling film.

Not too many MiG 21s were available to use in films in 1986.

I know it's more than 20 years old now but I watched it recently and thought... to quote Buzz in Toy Story 2... was I really so deluded !

It has aged badly, if you've not seen it for a few years then don't watch it !

Just live on the memories of the good parts, like hearing stereo for the first time on your TV from that opening sequence !

DH

(Oh and the technical quality is shyte on a high def TV)

They were available.

What else could they have done?

(I've seen Republic F-84 Thunderstreaks masquerading as MiGs as well (Highjack - 1972)
