Saw Death Race with Jason Statham.

It's a Ronseal film, you know what to expect and you won't be disappointed.
I quite liked it. boxedin

Watched Butterfly on a wheel last night, unusal to see Mr Brosnan playing a baddie, fantastic twist at the end, almost on a par with The Game, which for those who have not seen it, has probably THE best ending of any movie I have EVER seen!

You can't be talking about the unbelievably ste "The Game" with Michael Douglas are you ?

You can't be. That film was laughably bad, with plot holes you could fly a jet through and impossibly implausible plot points and twists.

Utter garbage.

I know the title of this thread is Good films I watched this weekend but the Mrs and I have just wasted an hour or so of our afternoon by watching Cloverfield.

I actually wanted all the characters to be killed, what a bunch of annoying tts.

Batman Begins - forgot how good it was, brilliant how you can see the story coming together and the fact that he isn't just an instant hero, he's full of doubt and guilt, very complex for what is essentailly a comic book character.

i can see how some might think that, but its a fine film. i say 'destined to become' as it reminds me a lot of 70's film thrillers that didn't do so well on release but now adorn most people's dvd shelves. if someone watched it and told me it was st, i'd seriously doubt their judgement in future.

its written/directed by stephen gaghan - the guy who got the oscar for 'traffic'. the style is pretty similar to traffic as well - sparse, tense, no wasted dialogue and little in the way of plot hints.

the cast is terrific. matt damon doesn't have much to do in his part, but for clooney its a career defining role, he nails it. the supporting cast are very strong.

rent it, watch it. it stands up very well to repeat viewing, it will take a couple of vuews just to work out what actually happened.

Mum and Dad. Thoroughly nasty film. I need to go and scrub my brain to wash it away. Watched Hostel, all the Saw films and Texas Chainsaw afterwards as a bit of light relief.

This 'torture-porn' genre does nothing for me - and the Brits seem to be doing it better than the yanks lately. I can't remember the name of it but I watched the Brit film with a Girl & her Boyfriend camping by the lake in the woods when the chav-types set up camp 200 yards away...that was pretty dire and in the same mould - it didn't even have a redeeming end for the heroine - but then thats the point of these type of films I suppose.

I know I'm a bit late to the party with this one; but finally watched Slumdog Millionaire for the first time having bought it nearly a month ago and never put it on. What a fantastic film; not a huge Danny Boyle fan but I really really liked this one!

Law Abiding Citizen is quite good, couple of plot holes I thought, but good
