I was sat thinking to myself "I simply do not care what happens, and could be doing something far more valuable with my time" so turned it off. Very rare for me to do that to a film, even a poor one! Bugger, Blockbusters just sent that to me. Oh well ill give it a watch, nothing to lose. Wasn't as bad as all that IMHO. Certainly not a classic but watchable none the less.

I really enjoyed it but I have realised from this thread that I am quite easily pleased Anyone seen Sinister yet? Can’t decide whether to make the effort to see it. Saw The Possession and enjoyed that, quite scary although I hate moths so that did it for me in the scare department.

A little bit LOTR, but without the story, so to speak.

My mate said she screamed because I did. I don’t believe her.

I watched,
The Cabin in the Woods,
Very poor, terrible acting and the plot sucked.
A perfect example of 'all the best bits in the trailer'
3/10

Caught a few on the plane yesterday.
The Hunter - Willem Defoe tracking down the Tasmanian Tiger. A morose 7/10.
The Amazing Spiderman - OK but pointless reboot. No better than Maguire's version. 6/10
Killer Joe - Matthew McConaughy is hitman/cop in hicksville, Texas. Brutal and misogynistic with interesting use of KFC. 7/10

The Devil Inside - 8/10 Surprisingly enjoyed this more than what I probably should have. Some gruesome bits in it which surely should have made it a 18 Cert. I heard quite a few people not liking this but if you like the Paranormal Activity series then you should defo like this.

Perhaps it was just my mood at the time, I don't know - but I can't recall the last time I turned a film off because I didn't care, if you see what I mean Maybe that one just particularly flicked my "crap" buttons I don't think snow white helped. all she ever did was look, slightly open mouthed, at the camera.

Juanco20 said: The baby getting squashed under the pedal was a step too far Did either of you know how bad it was going to be before you watched it? If so, what possessed you?! I have just read the parental guide on IMDB and, well, I just can't believe anyone would make that let alone watch it! Makes A Serbian Film sound like Bambi.

Makes A Serbian Film sound like Bambi. I'd watched the first one after hearing everyone talk about it. It was nasty but not 'that' bad Hadn't heard anything about the second one and just decided to give it a watch as I was a bit bored the other night. Had no idea it was going to be as graphic/sick as it was

Fair play, not that I am questioning your sanity or freedom to watch whatever you want. Probably not one to rent on a first date...

Oh and Jennifer Aniston in pretty much just a doctors coat Cheers for the tip, quite good fun. Kevin Spacey was superb as the brutal office boss. "He's hiding behind fingerflage!" I remember arguing with a mate about Jennifer Aniston versus Angelina Jolie; oh gawd maybe he was right.

Prometheus Well I liked it.
Absolutley gorgeous visuals Fassbender was good Story was acceptable and I'm not getting into the geekery of whether the vehicles were RHD last time we saw them or if the Alien was anatomically correct...not interested in that.
Negatives? I didn't care about any of the characters, so the violence and drama had a quite heavily reduced impact.
I just loved the look of it all really... 6.5/10

Agoogy said: I just loved the look of it all really... 6.5/10 I agree with this. I think a lot of the hatred for it is down to expectations. Like many, I esxcitedly went to the cinema to see it expecting something of the calibre of Aliens but with 20 years of technology advance. Sadly it fell way short of expectations which exaggerated the ordinariness. As a stand-alone film with no expectations it would have been reasonably good. FOr me,, the expectation was just too high so it was a massive dissapointement.
