I watched "Zidane" which was on BBC4 last week. More like an art installation or screen saver than a movie but strangely kept my attention all the same.

Also working my way through the (Connery) Bond movies on Sky HD plus series two of The Wire.
I watched Zidane too - I'm not even that much of a footy fan but I find this mesmerising.

Ooh, you're in for a treat with The Wire - wait until you get to season four.

Must agree, 'Tropic Thunder' is absolute rubbish
Me too. Love Ben Stiller. Loved Meet the Parents, Zoolander etc. But Topic Thunder, after the opening scene, was just not funny at all - and I really hate to say this, but I actually found the whole 'Simple Jack' thing O F F E N S I V E.

Taken - probably the best film I've seen in a year. Neeson is utterly stunning in this. His opening gambit on the phone to the bad guys was inspired.

QoS - Average. Brain-off fun.

Iron Man - Loved it. Downey Jr is cool in that. Looking forward to further installments.

Dark Knight - Very good. At last someone does Batman the way it always should have been done.

I am **so** looking forward to Watchmen.

Watched 'A Time to Kill' on BBC1 last night - Matthew McConnaughey in a rare excellent turn.

And Jesu Christi, Sandra Bullock was hot in her day!

Red Road....a curious but captivating thing filmed in a very dingy Glasgow and featuring some unexpected hard core porn

Taxi - the original french version. Daft, funny and with some ace driving scenes and hilarious shootups, miles better than the crap american remake smile

Benjamin Button.

Good but too long.
I loved this but thought it was long yeah
Definitely the worst film I have watched in 12 months, probably in the top 5 worst films that I have ever seen - just below Rendition. The only reason I didn't walk out was due to thinking it must get better, it was nominated for awards. G/F also thought it was terrible.

new Jean Claude Van Damme film, its all personal opinion, but its BRILLIANT! i loved it from the opening scene. Take everything you think about Jean Claude and forget it, take everything you think about what this film is gonna be and forget it, then sit back press play and enjoy cinematic genius.

There's very little action, its not your typical JC film, and it shows the man can act, its low budget, but the story is great, the characters are fantastic, JC plays himself fully taking the piss out of his own career, and his monologue in the middle, unbelievable, for me its the best monologue in any film i have ever seen, so real and genuine.

Its my film of the year so far and something amazing is gonna have to come and beat it, possibly top 10 best movie ever.

I just saw two films:

Body Of Lies - I reccomend it.

My best Friends Girl - Shamelessly immoral. I hate movies with a tirade of sexual innuendos that are so not funny. It is amazing to me how many new one liners are continuously created using sexual content. Just another movie adding to the overall stain on younger childrens psyche.

Two films that I watched (and enjoyed)on a flight recently were Burn After Reading and Pineapple Express. Neither would have been my first choice but glad that I watched them now. Both were funny and fked up in equal measures.

I did watch "Pride And Prejudice" on HD DVD, with that there Keira Knightley in it, innit? Admittedly, the film is a little short on car-chases, guns and bombs, but I really enjoyed it. It harks back to a more simpler time when "taking a turn around the room" was an acceptable pastime.

It must be said, however, that Ms Knightley has the neck of an ostrich. An ostrich with an unusually long neck, come to that.

Not a fan due to my passion for the original BBC version.

Did I just say that?
