Not too bad, the twists are obvious, but a perfectly watchable brain out action flick.
7/10 Man on a Ledge Awful. No twists at all. The plot is blatant and laughably bad.No action 'til the end when some really stupid things happen. You come away from this movie feeling like the director has personally insulted you. It's worse than Taken. 2/10 worse than taken! be gone from this forum! Taken is a great film. No arty farty stuff just mindless cool violence.

Not sure why I enjoyed it but I did 7/10 Agree. I thought it combined the fairy-tale stuff poisened apple etc very well with the general mood of the film. Theron was fantastic, turning it up to 11, but the Dwarves stole the film for me. I wasn't so keen on Kristen Stewart in this film though. her misery-chic thing is getting a bit boring for me now. I know it was fitting with the film, but she only seems able to express one facial expression/emotion.

Ben Hur (the 1925 one) with live orchestral soundtrack at the royal Festival Hall. Epic.

fathomfive said: blindswelledrat said: fathomfive said: Tyrannosaur I watched this at the weekend. Written/Directed by Paddy COnsidine (of Dead Mans SHoes) it is a gritty made-for-tv type film about a relationship developing between a psycho loner council estate type and a middle class badly abused woman. Sounds s t doesn't it? Its actually excellent. Harrowing, gritty, bitter, violent, sad and feel-good all pushed together with some extraordinary acting. Hollywood blockbuster it isn't. Best of British it is 8.5/10 for me I thought it looked good from the trailer, along with The Awakening, so many thanks for yours and Agoogys comments. Shall get hold of them asap. It was a brilliant film. Best film I have seen in a long time and proves big budgets really don't add anything.

Typical Neeson film really. Some amazing leaps in the plot to get the character where he needs to be but a giood brain-out action film if you ignore all the convenient coincidences.

Just watched In Time.
Had low expectations. But it was surprisingly entertaining. Quite a good concept.
Amanda Seyfried is a bit odd looking though.

Tell No Onehttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362225/Chap is the main suspect in the unsolved murder of his wife, during which he is beaten into a coma (from which he wakes). 8 years later he receives an anonymous email showing footage of his wife alive. Absolutely fantastic French thriller based on a Harlan Coben novel. Complex plot, gritty cinematography, believable and genuine acting. A bit fluffy here and there and the plot reveal is a bit cliched but highly recommended. The ending is extremely moving.

Watched 'Safe House' last night - Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds.
Not bad - some good punch ups and a couple of nice car chases. That's about it really.
Not even close to any of the Bourne films though.

saw two films over the weekend, The girl with the Dragon tattoo - realyl enjoyed it. proper grown up adult film with terrific performances and great production...
and London boulevard - which wasn't. in fact it was pap. pap from start to finish and not even saved by the usually delectable but now more akin to what I'd imagine David Coulthards' skelton to resemble, Miss K Knightley.
