Hi

I know its been out for ages but i just started watching it, while i find it quite funny in some places and Bryn is great i do have one problem.

They seem to have worked very hard on making them 'Essex wideboys' i just cant get over the fact that he drives a bloody Saxo! Surely he should have a Escort or Fiesta, not a french mild hatch.... furious

Just something that got me thinking

Love it

Bryn singing James Blunt on that Motorway trip had me in stitches

Superb series. Always funny, even some of the minor characters are good but Rob Brydon really is excellent as Uncle Bryn.

Good Series but I think it was overrated..

Not in the same league as the office or fawlty towers but good , as in shooting stars good..

Got into it quite late, and caught up via DVD.

Quite watchable, and there quite a few good lines.

I didn't think so. It was just one of those run-o-the-mill comedies that didn't get my attention. Like The Roman Empire or the Robinsons.

I think it was good, I find 90% of the comedies on BBC1 to Channel 4 to be meh and humourless (even The Office), but Gavin and Stacy is right up my alley.

The Office does take some perseverance intially; I though it was rubbish at first, but once you get to know the characters, it is very funny indeed (especially if you've ever worked in an office, as you'll start to recognise the stereotypes)

I like it apart from Gavin and Stacey, who are just a bit vacuous.
And yes the "wide boys" are in Saxos around here.

Brilliant show, one of the very best.

There has been some dreadful comedy progs in recent years, but this ain't one of them.

I really like it, but it doesnt have the repeat appeal that the truely great comedies have.

Being made to sit through an episode of Gavin & Stacey would be torture for me.
