Still correct. No use for him whatsoever. Time to bring in a new character or do something with him and I don't mean some semi gay thing. Either make the character gay or straight.

First UK episode was pure Soap Opera for me, I vaguely remember Sheldon and Amy breaking up, Howard and Penny getting married with little fanfayre and Penny getting all upset about his kissing someone when he was in the North Sea, something that barely phased her last series. I think I mentally tuned out and played Boom Beach on my phone for a bit and it ended.

Happy to read that the people who download / stream the US ones saying it improves further into the series, but whilst I don't think I'll stop watching, it's still better than 90% of crap on TV, but it's not what it used to be for the last couple of years it's slowly morphed from sit-com to soap and it's going to fade away rather than burn out when it eventually ends (end of next series?)

Agree than Raj has become pointless, he's been on his way out since Bernie and he moved in together, they made him camp and it didn't work, they made him a sad lonely dog botherer and it didn't work, they tried him with Lucy, then Emily but for whatever reason they just gave up on them so like Alex, Stephanie and Priya (remember them?) one week they're in it, the next they're not and they're rarely mentioned again, if ever.

Equally I've no idea why Stuart is still there, he just sort of sits in the background and drops the odd sad one-liner, but it's never funny you almost never notice him until it's time for his line.

Sadly the series doesn't really do anything anymore, in past series they'd have an over-riding story for the series, usually involving Leonard chasing Penny, but it was just background, each episode was a thing in itself and very funny, but now they've forgotten that and it's a very slow story that fills the whole series, last year was no better.

Nope, it's the Penny & Leonard and Bernie & Howard Rom-Com and a heavy bias on Rom now. Even Sheldon's being slowly eroded or pushed awkwardly into a romantic character.

A bit like Scrubs, I loved it when it started, became indifferent to it and was begging for it to end when it did.

I agree with this - I watched the first episode of Season 9 last night and found it very flat compared to the earlier series'. It is, as you say, more run of the mill soap opera than sit com.

Nothing flowed like it once did, and every scene seemed very forced.

Pretty good (US) episode this week. A lot less of the soap romance and back to form with Sheldon and Leonard getting into a stupid situation. Best of the series so far IMHO.

They have forgotten how to end a scene. Particularly in the first half of the episode.
It makes it a series of sketches rather than a sitcom.

Really enjoyed the 2nd UK one, everything is forgiven (for know).

The 'right hand' gag was worth it alone.

3rd episode just been aired in UK.

Funniest bit was Sheldon going off on "We will rock you"

Saw the Sheldon Intel ad before it too.....not a fan of that.

Quite a few bits made me chuckle last night. It is better when they move away from a whole episode of storyline and have an episode of geek jokes instead.
