Laughed out loud at Ami's ruffled hair after the deed was done.

Enjoyed it.

A return to form I thought. Penny crushing the wine glass and Bernadette with the wild thing line were superb!

TBBT wasn't their big break for all of them, the previous shows weren't TBBT big, but still pretty popular.

Johnny Galecki - David in Roseanne, 1992-1997 (but the earliest thing I've seen him in is Lampoons Christmas Vacation from 1989)
Kaley Cuoco - Bridget in 8 Simple Rules, 2002-2005
Mayim Bialik - Blossom, 1990-1995
Roseanne was massively popular and he was in it a fair bit, as was Sheldon's mum and the girl who was Darleen who's BBT name I forget.

Talking of other break out actors George Clooney was also in Roseanne a fair amount prior to ER.

The latest UK episode with the arrival of Sheldon's grandmother seemed a missed opportunity.

The scenes with Raj and Howard meeting the screenwriter also felt like padding, as if the stars now have something in their contracts saying they all must appear in every episode.

A poor episode. I had looked forward to seeing Meemaw for the first time, and it was a giant let-down. Weak writing, as you say, a failure to capitalise on what could have been a pivotal moment.

It wasn't a good episode at all - I expected more from this one.

Putting the blonde girl behind the bar seemed the same as when Penny was stashed behind the bar - I've seen the next one, so I won't spoil it for you, but it doesn't get better I'm afraid....

There have been posts on here to that effect from people who've followed it online from the US. They're ahead of us in knowledge - we should have known better. We had been warned. I'd still rather watch this than "On the buses" , but it's sad to see the writers going through the motions for their paycheque.

And still the character of Raj is utterly pointless. The writers just don't seem to know what to do with him.

There was only one amusing moment in that episode for me, "I've just given you my virginity, woman, cool your jets!".

Can a US watcher please tell me that it improves?

Afraid not. I'm still watching as it's only a 20 minute episode and I've come this far.

Having seen the latest US episode, I'd say it's not getting worse at least. It does feel like they are struggling to come up with something funny to fit the storyline they got themselves into though. Last week's episode had a few funny moments, but a lot of it was just filler.

I hate leaving things unfinished, so I will carry on watching, but I'm starting to care a little less about watching it as soon as I can now.
