God is it over now? Seemed like they were going for 6 seasons and a movie. I hope community replaces it, I could at least enjoy watching endless repeats of that on E4 especially the call of duty episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjpS2V3SAvI

Yeah, it got renewed for Season 4, but they have a death timeslot. Couple that with only 13 episodes being commissioned and Dan Harmon getting fired and things look bad. Community never got the ratings it deserved...admittedly not helped by going up against TBBT every Thursday at 8:00.

Community never got the ratings it deserved...admittedly not helped by going up against TBBT every Thursday at 8:00. and yet it's a million times better than TBBT and any similar show. I guess it's like two and a half men, absolute complete tv smashing drivel and yet people love it for some reason. A mere thought of a scene or character in community and I'm ready to burst out laughing - Professor Spacetime and Constable Reggie, the dreamatorium, Chang, the Winger guarantee, Professor Professorson, the air-conditioning repair school and its much needed pastor, the dean touching winger's chest, billiards, trampolines, paintball assassin etc etc.

Community is ok, but it's no where near as good as TBBT. It's a typical surreal yankcom. More in the vein of 30 Rock, which I think does the surreal thing much better. I do like Community though, but it doesn't break the top three of my current fave yankcoms.

I watched an episode of Community on Friday, thought it was OK, though the humour was no where near as clever as TBBT. I thought it was basically Scrubs but in college.

Surely that makes it a bit rubbish? If you can't get in to something without knowing the entire back story then it definitely fails on the comedy stakes.

That's what something like Family Guy relies on. And as South Park pointed out, that is just one long procession of unrelated gags which don't relate to characters or storyline. I think Community is one of the smartest comedies on TV at the moment - it is criminally underrated. I reckon it's up there with TBBT.

Watched the Modern Warfare episode at lunch today. Very good, much better than the episode I watched last week. However I still wouldn't say it is better than TBBT.
