I enjoyed that, but are they getting shorter? My PVR recorded 26 minutes total, that includes the preamble before the "previously on BBT" bit, the ad break and the end credits. Some good bits, though, well worth watching.
I have series 1-9, and some episodes are only just over 19 minutes longThis week's UK episode was v. poor.
Part of the problem appears to be that all 7 of the main cast are contractually obliged to be in every episode, so you got the meaningless Raj and Bernadette scenes just to get them some screentime.
The main ideas for the other scenes had potential - Sheldon hopped up on Energy Drinks, Amy being the Popular Girl at the scientist party and the General (or USAF equivalent) not caring about the project missing its deadline (a biting satire on the industrial military complex ) - but the actual execution of the jokes/dialogue missed the mark.

FFS just dump Koothrappali. What the hell is the point of this character? I don't blame the actor as he has been dealt some real crap lines and stories.
Ah, as long as this is the last series he'll be put out of his misery soon. I'm surprised they couldn't shoehorn him into the Guidence System storyline. I have my doubts though, last nights 'two years, not 2 months' might have been more telling that it seemed at first.
Agreed though, he's a character without a story and there's at least 2 Koothrappali's. Not sides to his character, but 2 completely different characters played by same actor. The over confident, smug camp one, and the neurotic timid straight one, they swap him to suit whichever sub-plot they can cram him into these days. I guess Emily is forgotten about now, we're very much into the Camp, camp now and his overly paternal phase seems to be an extension of that.
