I must admit the past 2 seasons have become a bit repetitive. OK the stories progress but the characters don't seem to be evolving or learning. It was very obvious that Jax was turning into the person he hated and Tara acted totally out of character in volunteering for working at the prison.

I tend to watch whilst playing a card game on my phone these days.

I hoped they would wrap it up in the next season but I think (read here?) Sutter has the green light for 2 more seasons.

She only volunteered at the behest of the club in order to get to Otto to convince him to withdraw his testimony for the RICO case.

Yes but it flew against her normally trying to stay "clean" and it was obvious the likelihood of it all working according to plan was limited.

And Otto's plan to not testify? To bite his own tongue off?? And now he can't testify? Presumably he can't write, nod, sign a statement?

After reading an interview with the actor (who is the writer for SoA) he said that it was more a case of sending a message to the club / police that he will not speak / testify.

I've just finished Series 5 and my wife has finally been convinced to start watching so I'm going back through from series 1 with her - did anyone see the first of season 6 last night?

I would have thought Netflix would have put S5 up by now and done the same as they did with Breaking Bad for the new series but I guess this doesn't have the same following.

I love this show. Just watched episode 1 of the new season this morning... looking good so far. Really enjoying having Sons, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, Hell on Wheels and Homeland on the go.

I never realised that was Kurt Sutter, kudos to him for writing a scene where he gets sodomised by a black guy - not many would do that.

Why does it matter if he's black? Would you prefer to be sodomised by one of Aryan brotherhood or the latino gangs if it were you? biggrin

Surely he's just being descriptive?

Yup.

Though I suppose if you got to choose, you might as well be done up the wrong 'un by an Indian - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6161691.stm

I guess it doesn't really matter if it's Godzilla with a strap-on when it's just acting, same experience regardless of who is doing the thrusting (I presume).

I saw S06E01 yesterday, it certainly isn't slowing down.

Haha,I actually found that scene more disturbing than the bit at the end. Tig's scene was also pretty grizzly
