I also think a special mention should go to Walter Goggins in the role of Venus and how well written the part was. It would have been very easy to have just used the character again for comic effect, but instead they added a brilliant and very dark storyline. The connection between her and Nero was well thought out and the way Tig reacts whenever she is around always has me chuckling.

Great writing and acting.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tig had a go on it.

Loving this season now, can't wait to see how the Irish storyline pans out.

I liked the first season but it went rapidly downhill. Like Breaking Bad, you can tell they were only producing more of them for money as the standard of writing went out the window. A truly dreadful second series. I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it mad

If you want quality programming op, try Breaking Bad, Mad Men and the Wire. The rest is pish imho.

Don't agree with you on Breaking Bad, I thought it just got better and better, didn't notice that the writing went downhill?

Not long started watching first series of Sons of Anarchy. Still giving it time, gut feeling after first three episodes is it's okay but I wouldn't put it down as anything special. But early days yet!

Definitely. The first season of many shows can be a bit iffy IMHO as the actors/writers get a feel for the characters and what they want to do with them. SOA is one of those shows that really improves season to season as the characters get fleshed out and the story evolves. Worth sticking with.

Even Jax (Charlie Hunnam) has said he can't watch series 1 because he thinks his acting is terrible. He was concentrating too hard on just doing an American accent!

We watched episode 10 last night, it's "plodding" a bit for my liking at the moment, not to say there isn't anything happening but I think I'm missing the grass-roots biker wars.

Still looking forward to the next one though.

This series has lost a bit for me and it just feels like it's ran it's course. This weeks episode I ended up just fast forwarding allot of it. Shame because I'd otherwise really enjoyed it up until part of the previous season.

Gemma gets on my tits every time she's on screen and how the fk is Clay still alive?

I've really enjoyed it. It's getting more adult and less cartoon violence which works better IMHO.

Agree about Gemma, and Clay is still alive because he always seems to be able make himself useful. It won't last I'm sure.
