I see its now available on Netflix.

But it doesn't include the mini series, which is annoying...

That is so frakking annoying, it means one always starts at 33, after the story has started!!!

read the wiki, I knew it had been filmed but was cut, and they restored it frown

erm, didn't need to to, should not have, this is BSG, not Game of Thrones.

Not wanting to be a slave to trends, I've just watched the first couple of episodes, have to say it looks promising but one of the first scenes, No.6 & the baby in the buggy, I found that really disturbing.
I was expecting a light hearted space romp with some lasers and Lycra straining cleavage.
Is the rest of the series as dark?
It gets a hell of lot grittier and darker.
yes

This is very much Sci-Fi for adults.

I thought this was a fab series, although I kept on expecting Crockett and Tubbs to arrive at any moment.

Ergh, yeah, grim.
I'm glad, Thorne bought it, either way.

So how do you see the unaired one if it wasn't broadcast?

At the time it was originally broadcast, it was talked about on the web after the show, they alluded to it being shot and then edited, but did not confirm it.

well 9 years later, we know they did shoot it and edited it.

Just had a look myself after I got the itch to watch them all again.

Netflix have actually been very clever and inserted the miniseries and Razor into the episode order. So the miniseries is the first two episodes of season 1 and Razor is the first two episodes of season 4. Whoever made that decision at Netflix is obviously a fan.

Just finished watching all 8 seasons of House (24 episodes per season). Holy crap, that was a marathon! Taken nearly 4 months.

BSG next!!!

Watched the first 20 mins of episode 1 this morning.

Its amazing how much you spot at the beginning going back having seen it numerous times before, I'm sure that I am spotting stuff that I hadn't before.

Currently on our 4th run through of this and really does stand up to repeat viewings. Just finished Exodus Part 2. Watching Col Ty a broken man slope off and Starbuck start a mental breakdown while Adama is carried aloft is still as hard hitting now as it was when I first watched it.

Loved this show when it first came out (and quite scary to think it came out thirteen years ago!), and have been thinking of revisiting it again soon. I think it has a lot to answer for with regards to changing how modern sci-fi is nowadays; like The Expanse we've seen quite a bit more of the 'gritty' style show rather than the more classic sci-fi tropes.
