I prefer my forests to look green not like Las Vegas.

Highly likely they will be green wherever you go in the universe. Generating energy from sunlight (starlight smile) will require leaf physiology to be much the same as visible light is visible light.

It's green just a bit "alien".

Am I one of the only people who didn't think much of Avator? I am at work, no one can understand why I didn't think it was a great film. I like films that stay with you, and it's always the story/plot and characters that stay with me, not some overdone CGI. I wouldn't watch again.

Yes, I've seen it, that's how I

a) know the story
b) know it is a facsimile of dances with wolves, pocohantas, etc
c) it was a cgi fest

You haven't seen dances with wolves? Do so, it is far better than Avatar. When you do so, you'll see what we mean.

Easy smile

edit: just a flip comment not really directed at you in particular but at the negative comments regarding Avatar. Generally PH loves technology and dislikes/distrusts anything green or having an eco agenda, hence I think why some would rather have ended the Movie nuking the "hippies" from orbit.

I'm a hippy so loved it. hippy

But ironically some don't like it because they have a distaste for CGI. smile

Is it wrong that I disliked it because it's a st story with a st script?

It's fine you disliked it because you thought it was a bad story with a bad script, your wrong of course. wink

Avatar was fking rubbish, how stupid are the people who rate it? The sory is absolute gash.

I assume the people who like it are the same people who are impressed with shiny tat like chrome number plate surrounds and Elizabeth Duke jewellery

Don't know why people are getting stroppy about it, it's just a film some people like. Nice little story, great effects and a happy ending.

I enjoyed it and when I get my arse in gear will buy it for the collection.

I think some folks on here are getting too high and mighty with their opinions as usual and not respecting others views, but then it is PH after all, so why am I surprised.

If you don't like it, don't watch it, retards.

Hold on a holy frigging minute. Am I to understand that a movie review thread is no longer allowed to have opinions that are not favorable? Retards? Get a grip of yourself.

I think the fact that Michelle Rodriguez was wearing a corset (out of necessity, I guess, after all they're not exactly Marine standard issue) summed the experience up for me. Did anyone else notice that? (In the prison/hanger sequence...)

That, and the fact that both Sigourney Weaver and Giovanni Ribisi were phoning their performances in, left me massively underwhelmed.

Don't get me started on the story. Okay, do. Interesting first act. Dire middle act. Acceptable final act (apart from the very end).
