Luther's psycho computer nerd character in tonight's episode appears to have been partly based on Stephen King's psycho computer nerd in Mr Mercedes.

Enjoyed this very much (as expected) however I'm struggling to work out how they'll answer the questions raised by the first episode in just a further hour without annoyingly leaving everything on a cliff-hanger...

I think I set my expectations too high, I enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Also unless I missed something there was a fairly big hole in the plot.

How did the murderer escape into the vent and then replace the fridge hiding it?

I noticed this too, he also managed to replace the vent at the other end in the bus depot.

Well, that bit's not so hard. As for the first one, maybe it wasn't the only vent in the place? I'm still surprised an apparently run-down place like that had ventilation vents like that though.

First thing you think of when evading capture by the Police.
"I must replace the screws on this vent"

Aside from the OTT gore-fest, nice to see Patrick Malahide hamming it up as an uber-crim once more.

Also, those air ducts would be properly filthy inside if - as indicated - one end had been blanked off.

Thoroughly enjoyed that but why would the killer expose himself on CCTV by buying a microwave curry and a nice bottle of chianti before going to cough... dinner?

He'll always be "Cheerful Charlie" Chisholm to me.

Think its going to be a rushed ending if they're only doing it as a 2 parter.

Eating raw heart without some Chianti, what are you, some kind of savage?
