I reckon he'd be good in a re-make of Dirty Harry.

Yeah. He has a great smoulder/slow burn. Clint had it, Mel had it.

Also, any chat of finals (and series 6 in general) whether you like them or not, take it to another thread.

Season 5 episode 5: Some great moments which include an AA12 machine shotgun, Alan Tudyk and some hilarious lines.
The humour in the last two series has just been awesome. Love the lil fat constable returning as well and glad he had a part in the programme final.

Finally gotten through series 5&6...wow, brilliant. For a second there I paused on the last showdown that Raylan had, as soon as I saw the bullet hole in the hat, and had to rewind and watch the blood flow from the shot. I was starting to get frustrated/annoyed and upset after watching the 26 episodes over a few weeks thinking that that was how it would end, with Nucky Thompson in my head. Thankfully, he got up. biggrin
And I loved the lil epilogue, knowing that Raylan couldn't really stick with his old wife. biggrin

I can't quite believe the quality of this show, it was from FX which I read is a basic cable like AMC in the USA, so I guess that's why. The storytelling, multiple streams, characterisation; like all the other deputies being fully fleshed out (like the dick partner - 'I've been to Mordor but not through the mines), the acting, high-production values and originality and freshness places it easily in my top ten US shows.
Like an American Braquo crossed with The Wire/GoT.

I have to say it's been one of my favourite shows of recent years and one of the best box sets I've seen. I think it helps that I like the main character, as an actor and the part he plays, he just oozes cool and I can't imagine anyone else playing the part. Having said that, I also believe the quality of the supporting cast really helped.

Well written, well acted, well filmed. Sad to see it go.

saw this on the sky box set section to download a few weeks ago and having read this thread thought I would give it a go. Currently halfway through season 3 and it just gets better, it's a shame really that it isn't more popular over here and I suspect sky remove it from the download section fairly soon

Enjoyed them all but particularly liked Season two and Mags Bennett.

Sheeet, the Bennetts, forget they were all the way back in 2. Loved how Dicky popped up in 5&6. biggrin

Just finished this

Hard to believe how this isn't more popular, was the best series i have seen in years. Boyd Crowder and Raylan Givens were brilliant and it was one of those shows that just got better each time

will have a very hard time finding something as good to replace it with

I followed it with "The Shield" which I missed first time round and also features Walton Goggins

It's never had a good run on UK telly, Channel 5 USA (WTH??) hoarded it for years, the the 6th season has never been broadcast, I watched it via sky box sets.
It must be the best least known show.

Channel 5 Drops FX’s ‘Justified’, Will Not Air Seasons 5 & 6

Justified‘s UK broadcaster Channel 5 has dropped the FX drama after airing four seasons of the series on digi-channel 5USA.

A C5 representative confirmed to TVWise that they had decided not to acquire any future seasons of Justified from international distribution Sony Pictures Television.

If like me, you never sourced seasons 5 & 6 from elsewhere, then you may be interested to hear that Spike TV will be showing season 5 (and 6, I hope) from Friday 25 September 2015 @ 22:00.

If you liked this then there's a good chance you'll also like Longmire.

Thanks for that - I need a new series to watch and a couple of the suggestions from the Jr at work didn't float my boat (Dark Matter and The Whispers).

I'll give Longmire a go.

Season 5 on Spike TV in the UK tonight. Still available on Sky on Demand and season six was brilliant.

Has season 5 finished on Spike now?

Does anyone know if Spike will show season 6 anytime soon?

Thanks.

Finished watching it last night, absolutely fantastic, loved every episode of every series and that is tough to find from a TV show!

I hope they show s6...s6 is surely one of the best, the way they weave in stuff from past series is fantastic, and we see Raylan give more slick talk. I also like the baddies and the cameos, and the interesting details we find out about main characters.
