Mockney spook? Her assault on the embassy was laughable, of course the whole thing is escapist nonsense, very doctor who cares.
I like the text stuff, but the machine gun delivery isn't suitable, and it sometimes has the feel of a first take. It's just all so...fluffy, I want it to have more weight, Benedict is certainly capable of doing it.
I'm not one for recent reboots, but I feel that I'd like the hole thing rebooted, keeping Bendydick and Mrs Hudson, and dumping everyone else (not the lab person) and make the thing a lot more solid, constructionally.

And no one's answered my question yet - can a pathologist tell when a person died just from a charred skeleton? I would not have thought so but that would have ruined the story.
Yes
How? To say a person died one week ago would normally be easy due to the state of decomposition of the tissue and weather temperature the past week but if there's none remaining how would it be done? DNA yes but day of death? I would like to know more...

If you're referring to the one by the bus stop where Watson gets off, it was a picture of Toby Jones, who plays the Big Bad in the next episode.

To put it simply, stuff changes, doctors study those changes in controlled environments then use them as reference in cases.

Have a look at the national geographic documentaries about the body farm.

You are right - I am appalled at my selfishness - and humbly apologise.

Actually it is trying to post on here discreetly whilst trying to listen to back to work meetings that I am having difficulty with today! I had intended to quote you both but alas!

Zod - Thank you! wink

I'm sure there's a much darker more interesting modern Holmes interpretation, instead you get a camp romp, which is all fluff and froth, and text on screen might have been novel, if not original, I remember seeing it first in Fight Club, that was 1999. Hadn't realised it was Freemans real life (soon to be ex) wife as well.

Toby Jones seems to be having trouble talking around a dodgy set of false teeth? Distracting.

With all the classic stories that could be updated, they come out with this utter drivel. trying to be too clever for its own good.

Giving up with tonight's episode, it doesn't feel like the same show as last week. Feels a bit...naff.
