I thought the "genius" of that scene was that we already knew Kel was in the pub. So when he said she had popped to the shops as soon as he saw Trev, you knew something was up.

Not watched the last one yet - I'll try and get to it over the weekend.

BTW - what's the actor's name? I recognise him but can't place where I've seen him before (IMDB and TV.com don't seem to have an entry for his character)

Start of the last episode I felt real hatred for Lol's dad (tv character doesn't usually have much of an effect) but then I realised....what a great actor he is!!! My god, wanted to punch the TV when he was on it.
Indeed. Can you imagine the bloke reading the script and the director telling him what he wanted to do? 'Right, so after screaming in her face and strangling her, I've got to stick me hand inside her bra and then drop me kecks? No worries, do you want me to slap her about a bit too? Heyup love, seen what we're doing tomorrow?'

Must have been so difficult for everyone concerned to have been involved in those two scenes.
Very realistic. Looks improvised to me. That fella can do nasty very well.

Ha - 4 younger than I.
I bought the original film in Tesco this afternoon for £3 - result!
I never saw it first time around.
Should I let the kids watch it?
(how about my 12 y/o lad?)

There is a pretty violent scene at the end of the film, I wouldnt say its suitable for a 12 year old, how liberal are you?!

Mostly the film is about Sean trying to deal with his fathers death being bullied/depression of the 80's and how he met woody and co. There is racism throughout.

It certainly was.

A good friend of mine won a BAFTA for hair and makeup design for it, and she's worked on the new one. It looks absolutely fantastic.

I've been watching the 86 series today in preparation for 88 next week.

The rape scene is still one of the best scenes in terms of audience effect I've ever witnessed. My mrs wouldn't watch it.

Is this C4's way of wishing everyone a Merry Christmas? I loved both the film and '86, but my god the last one was dark. Hope that this one is a bit more uplifting.

Ummm can't really see it being a laugh-a-minute, although everyone enjoys a bit Rick Astley on the karaoke.

'Woody' is in a film due for release soon... Looks like a very different role.

Watching Woody in Misfits at the mo, and I think he may be this weeks favorite actor fellow. Just genius delivery every line, every time.

So, are we starting a '90' thread - or just carrying on with this one?

Can't wait for it - particularly as '90 was the start of my teenage years!
