High Fidelity http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0146882/

Not strictly a "rock" film like the others, but it's loosely based around music and set for a large part inside a record shop. Also check the book out if you can find it, i read the book a few years and never ever realised they'd made a film based on it

Do Quadrophenia and Tommy count?
What aboout Wayne's World?
Tommy is quite possibly the weirdest film i've ever seen, enjoyed it though smile

"The Doors" Film might be worth checking out, though i wasn't a massive fan
agreed. watching tommy sober is a very bizarre experience. excellent though.

Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense is a movie. It's like being at the concert.

Fairly average movie, but Jennifer Aniston looks good in it

wow thanks for alot of great suggestions guys
anything counts really including rock related soundtracks and band but non rock related films
"rock films" is just a loose guideline based on previous things i've seen and liked
but alot of good sounding ones there
some of them i've already seen
some i've heard of but never got around to watching
and alot of them i'd never even heard of
i've now got a nice list of films to check out
thank you everyone

How could i forgot that one?

It's Rex Manning day!

Metallica's "Some Kind Of Monster" is worth watching, if only to see what a bunch of childish wkers they all are, bhing and moaning at each other constantly

Pink Floyd "The Wall" as well. Weird, but good http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084503/

Almost Famous is one of my all time favourites.

Really enjoyed Walk the Line as well.

Watched Crazy Heart not long ago and while not exactly 'rock' still a brilliant film.

its bloody brilliant. I went to see it on the one night only cinema release and also have the blu-ray. some of the extras are worth the price alone, especially where they all go out for dinner and just get sloshed

Another +1 for Almost Famous and Air Heads both are awesome. Is Waynes world classed as a music style film or just comedy with music in it?

Iron Maiden's concert documentary from a few years back was quite good.

Waynes world 1 & 2 spring to mind as absolute classics. Rock star with aniston and Mark walburg was quite enjoyable too.
