Brilliant and heavily influenced many shows that came after.The Shield has one of the best endings ever, perfect.
Just finished BB again, its even better 2nd time around
Close call between this and the Shield for me, I think BB is probably the better show overall but if I had to take one box set to a desert island it'd probably be the shield. Fantastic.

Also enjoying Californication - really has me laughing at the telly which is rare for me. I've seen several say it runs out of steam but season one was excellent and half way through season two and still loving it.
Not watched so much telly in years - enjoying it though.
Late to this thread but just spent the few weeks working through the whole thing culminating in the final episode last night.
What a great show! Didn't pull any punches, so many twists and turns and unexpected events. Interesting characters that weren't rushed and allowed to develop in their own time (good acting too - no obvious weak links at all). Very well filmed with some great direction. Well worth the praise people are giving it.
Recommended to anyone who hasn't started yet!
