Oh absolutely - but, it's weird. I want to see him do everything properly, make st loads of money and be really clinical in his approach to perfect work.

However, if he did that there'd be no story hehe

Yup - Walt's sense of power is starting to overcome him - and I think it's driving a wedge between him and Jesse. That "it's all about me" was a big tipping point I think. Especially as Jesse's feeling pretty good right now.

Walt is getting angrier about it all, too - and will do something stupid. Let's not forget he walked to the chicken place to try and kill Gus last week!

I too didn't quite get what the cartel wanted (instead of money).

However, those final words; "so, why were Gus' finger prints in Gale's apartment?".

Or it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted his chemist - Walt - and that through another twist, he was actually protecting him.
Ooooooooo. I hadn't thought of that. Great idea.

Stunning episode again although I thought I was watching an old one by mistake at first!
Ha - I did exactly the same thing. Wondered if I'd downloaded the wrong season hehe

Great episode though - the noose is tightening around Gus, and his relationship with Hector now is explained a lot more.

Also, we now know what it is that the cartel want - it's not Walt, it's walt's head.

In the next (last) episode?

I think its pretty clear, Gus setup the scheme to groom clever / gifted chemists to replace his pal who relieved his brains over the floor.. gale came along, impressed, and gus formed a relationship with him (we see the bond he had with his last chef, indicating gus is a very close type of person. Especially with what looks like is transpiring with his protection of Walt / Heisenberg from the Cartel.
It's a weird one though - Gus wanted to kill Walt because Walt engineered the killing of Gale. It seems to me that where, perhaps, Walt could have been the loved chemist to replace Gus' swimming-pool-friend, when Walt made Jessie kill Gale that all changed. Gus wants Walt purely for his cooking ability.

Watched it last night - what a great episode. So much happening. Again, lots of stuff that makes me angry - but I've long stopped caring about that.

Walt really does seem to be the author of his own downfall, stupidly, and with Skye saying "think of an exit strategy" I'm pretty sure that we will see Walt use the bloke that the lawyer suggested at the beginning of the series - who "wipes you out from existence".

Oh right I didn't realise there was series 5 sorted already. In which case, I think Gus is going to get killed, and Walt will become the new head biggrin

Wow.

Bloody awesome.

I didn't see that coming at all - but fair play, Gus - you got your revenge. Oh yes.

Walt seems to be coming away at the seams too.

Maybe it's because I was tired and it was late - but I didn't see that at all hehe

It wasn't until he made Gus drink his first that I wondered, but didn't click.

wowser!

Strangely, Walt is annoying me now!!! However, I called it earlier - he needs the "disappear" guy, though not sure if he'll be able to afford him!

Didn't they say at some point that Walt earn's something stupid like many hundreds of thousands of dollars a month? He should surely have more left (even after spending a million on the car wash)?

Was I the only one who was wishing Gus would get in the car? Go on Gus, go on!! hehe

It was rather superb yes Weird about the ricein though - I still can't quite see that it would have been Tyrus (sp?) but I guess there's no other explanation.

Cannot WAIT for the finale!

WHAT?!! There's a 6 month break? How very annoying that will be!

Last night's episode I thought was good - certainly setting the tone for the series. The bit right at the beginning with his birthday puzzles me though - I can only assume we see him transend towards that situation by the end of the series?!

What I still love, after all of this though, is that he delivers that line, while dressed in his slacks and chemistry teacher jacket hehe

It'll be more than a 6-month break I think - this is only 8 episodes (so 8 weeks) and then the remaining eps will be broadcast this time next year.
