it was french i think, but with english dubbing. pretty hard to find anyone who remembers it from bbc1, might even be a northern thing.

I had a thing for his 'love interest', I seem to remember her name as Marina but Wikipedia says it was Neptina which doesn't seem right to me. Still love manga and animé to this day.
