I grew up with thunderbirds, captain scarlet, joe ninety, stingray. Loved them all. I think best left alone though as a modern remake and cgi will spoil it IMHO.

Team America was great and used the format so well.

Does anyone remember marine boy from the same era?

Supermarionation Rocks.

CGI will completely ruin it.
Strings are the way forward.

Surely that's a 1992 era clock? So he must've been 10?

I still have this Thunderbirds/Captain Scarlet record and remember it being bought around 1971 in a shop in Stratford for me.

Can't remember the Thunderbirds story as I found them boring, but the Captain Scarlet one has him being blown up on an atomic passenger plane. cool

So have I, the Thunderbirds side is the soundtrack of the first episode. the one where they have to land the plane with no undercarrage and a bomb

The Fireflash. Exciting stuff.

For anyone that's interested, here's a link about all the machines that appeared in Thunderbirds.

Thinking about it, I am 10 years out! I recall that Carlton issued T 5 which announced that 'the missiles are being launched'...it was withdrawn from sale as it appeared in shops just after September 11 2001....it was re-released with an alternative announcement some time later. I immediately invested in the withdrawn one of course :-)

+1

Nothing with CGI is ever as good as models, CGI is never as realistic.

Don't think he would have had that when he was 19, think you were right first time.
