I just watched last night's HBO episode.
I figured something a bit freaky was going to happen with Jimmy's Mum, I didn't quite figure on it being that.
Doing what? (Is this something that hasn't yet been shown in the UK yet?)
It was shown last Sat. And I think it was telegraphed a long time ago with very subtle signs.

And Van Alden on the run - I was wondering when someone was going to figure out what happened to his first partner!
Was that the one that he drowned?

What's the story behind his collegaue that got burned in the explosion? Van Alden seems to be responsible for it (but I'm not sure why)
He isn't. Are you thinking of the scene in the bed where the burned man says 'I know what you did?' I think Van ALden's conscience/paranoia made him think that the agent knew about his old partner and his kickbacks.

OK, thanks.

But when those two agents went to check out that warehouse, were they not doing it after seeing something amongst Val Alden's papers?

Were the signs that subtle? I thought it had been telegraphed and was wondering when we would be shown more along those lines.

Spoiler (obviously)

Van Alden obviously has some link with the warehouse, but I assumed that it was blown up by the IRA guy (you saw him previously putting together some bombs) for Nucky, since it was being run by the Commodore. Guess the agents were just unfortunate to be there when it went up, but they definitely know about Van Alden's corruption.

I believe it was from Van Alden's papers, from a lead he didn't chase up? Can't quite remember but it was along the lines of they were to concentrate on other areas?

monkfish. He has intimate relations with his mother.
hotnerider-Perhaps, I wondered if something was there, but wasn't sure it went the whole way, it's great how that is the impetus to join the army. His mum really helped cook his goose there.

Less of the far too obvious spoilers please. I like reading this thread for reactions but not much more.

Also, i've just realised the title of this thread is spelled wrong.

Indeed. Fair game past the UK broadcast date. Why would you visit the thread if you've not seen the latest episode?

I watched the last episode and so far I have been following it, knew that Jimmy and his mum were more than just mother and son, obvious in the lead up, someone also mentions their relationship as well a few episodes back about how weird it is.

But after watching it, I can't help but think, what the fk did I just watch? I had no idea what the hell was going on, I knew some of it was past stuff, but the way it kept chopping and changing really bugged me just seems like a 2 year old cut the film up and then stuck it back together in a random order.

Will be interesting with Van Alden though, where does he turn now? I have a feeling Season 3 is going to be epic.
