Lots of tension in the last scene of that episode!
Yes, I thought we may have been saying goodbye to Chalky, nice finale.

Solid start to season four.

Ha ha I always enjoy the game of Wire actors/actresses spotting.

I'll miss that almost as much as Breaking Bad.

Bring on Series 5.

Wow, lots happened in that final episode! I'll not say what, but it left me feeling very sad!

Good last episode. I wonder what direction it will take from the next series (I’m assuming one is planned?)

It could easily be more dedicated to the rise of Al Capone and Lucky Luciano.

I thought, after the coming together of Al Capone and Nucky at the end of the last series that we'd see a huge partnership between them, but it's not really come together (although there have been elements of it)

We have just watched the latest- episode 5. By my guess there should be another 7 in this series. Why are people talking about the last episode?

Because some people watch them when aired in the US, via internet.

Because they are foreign trash!....Or downloading it, whatever!

Anyhoo I am also on your timeline. Rather sad to see the last episode, poor old faithful retainer. Agent Knox is a dick. It was interesting to learn Eddie's backstory.
I don't feel this series has the dynamism of the last two (it was difficult to see how it could, Gyp was an amazing adversary and characters tend to die on this, it's like 1920's Game of Thrones), but I still like it.
What has happened to Tortorrio, has he retired yet?
I see Van Alden having something to do with the Valentines Day Massacre.
I am also glad that Mrs bloody Schroeder has gone!

No way Eddie, I had high hopes his character was going to expand, and I suppose it did for a short time.

Agree this series has been slower than before. the sea is a little too calm for Nucky at the moment, but I can see this new agent being as big a danger as Gyp. I assumed he killed his boss / predecessor (I forget which he was) for a bigger slice of the kick-backs, seems he's on a one-man.

As for the terminally boring Mrs. Schroeder, Kelly MacDonald is still given pretty high billing so I'm guessing she'll be back, hopefully Richard too

Satisfying and more poignant ending than the last series. Best series on TV at the moment by quite a way - pity it's finished.

Yeah I was happy to see Eddie's rise. He deserved it , but wasn't ready.
Oh well, I guess she'll turn up soon.

Didn't realise the last one from America was the last in the series. ste!
Felt like there weren't that much action than what the series could have contained.

Really? We had

Al Capone's Brother being shot
That guy being poisoned
Eddie committing suicide
Eli killing the FBI man
Richard killing everybody
Richard dying
that bloke in Florida with a machete in his head
Van Alden at the flower shop
Chalky doing a driveby on Narcisse
Johnny Torrio getting shot

Off the top of my head. It's been a bit more spread out this season rather than swelling to a big conclusion like it did last year.

Might want to delete that post. People wouldn't have seen the episodes.
I just felt nothing much happened in terms of the main guys? I didn't care about Al Capones brother for example so I wouldn't say it was major.
People have different expectations. I like a lot of bloodshed biggrin

S4E6 (‘The North Star’)

The scene where Agent Knox hands the handkerchief to Eli, and Eli spends a couple of seconds studying the embroidery ‘JTM’; is there anything significant about this?
