Same. I felt sad at the first one, most unexpected and not quite how I thought it would end for that character.
Pregnant with promise but barren of achievement. The second, I don't understand.
I thought the Doc and Chalky had worked out they would work together? What happened in the chat that followed the promise?

Everyone in that room (apart from the little girl) knew what was going down. As soon as Chalky figured out who the little girl was (do the math, as they likely say in Atlantic City) he had more important things to worry about.

It's good that Van Alden went out doing what he loved best - strangling someone in a fit of rage.

I found the two endings for the two main/bigger characters of the show were too 'understated'.

Anyway I thought the etiquette was no spoiler tags necessary after the episode has been shown in the UK.

Episode 7 was a downer. Sad to see how the empire was lost, but knowing history it had to be something like that.
I can guess how it could come up smelling of roses.
