A spoiler tag means it will spoil part of the plot for you. Stick with that, you won't go wrong.
I understand how the spoiler tag works.

But it's not like a film when you've ether seen it, or not. Looking over the two threads I've mentioned above its impossible to tell from posts whether they're talking about an episode that's been shown in the UK or one that's been downloaded until you actually read the hidden text.

Yes, Sky showing episode 2. How have some seen episodes 3 & 4 already ?. Any idea what channel please ?.
Downloaded from one of the torrent sites would be my guess.
Yep, this thread could go the way of the Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory etc etc where you've got a small number of downloaders chatting away about episodes most posters won't have seen and it's difficult to work out which camp people are in without hitting the spoiler tags.

fun times... rolleyes
yes

Although I'm not sure about the "small number" comment. wink
I'd be in the downloaders camp if it weren't for the fact it's on so soon after airing in the US, for things like Dexter and The Walking Dead I'll download them as it'll be months before they arrive over here, but I can wait two weeks to get it in high def with no hunting around for it.

I'll just avoid the spoiler tags in here for now.

Episode 4 was shown on HBO in the USA on Sunday.

I think Steve Buscemi is awesome, but just can't get into Boardwalk Empire. Not sure why, just doesn't do it for me.

I find it very sterile not much humour and lighter stuff to break up the bleakness. This was the roaring 20's but doesn't feel like it.

Travel across the ocean to visit Lord Grantham at Downton Abbey. He's a barrel of laughs.biggrin

I am starting to dislike Nucky, he's turning into a right sour tt.

Not really sold on Season 3 yet. Too much focus on Margaret (who bores me to tears) and Nucky has lost the twinkle in his eye that made his character so interesting IMO.

Understandable offer the conclusion to season 2, but a shame none the less.

One of the best TV series out there for me at the moment - I'm really enjoying it.

I agree about less women's hospital and more gangster stuff, but i guess it's running along side because (at some point) it will come together again with Nucky. At the moment it's two completely different stories and he barely is in the same room as Margaret let alone any sort of plot.

Bloody love it though smile

It's just a dull storyline focussing on a dull character, and not sure how it is going to weave into the long term plot in an interesting way TBH. We'll have to wait and see.

Was very pleased to see Chalkie getting more time early in the season, one of my favourite characters (as was Omar in The Wire).

We know Nucky and Margaret have separated due to her giving land away to the church and trapping Nucky into his public/political philanthropist act. Therefore that story line seems to be her playing this game with the hospital project. Whether the two characters story lines collide again or it is just a dull filler story line for the Margaret character remains to be seen.
I guess the Tabor Heights is one of the main gangster story lines plus the rise of wee Al in Chicago but it would be good to have more Chalkie.

Margaret..somebody shoot her. There are two options I can see to keep her around, she reunites with Nuckie and allows him a way back into his humanity, or the dalliance she had with the Irish fella will end up with the sky falling.

My favourite thing about the Chicago storyline, is Agent Van Auden. He will link up wit the famous O'Bannion gang and possibly be an enforcer I reckon. He is perhaps the most intense man in the show. Even more so than Chalky.

...and what relevance does the storyline with the sacked FBI guy have, apart from us being shown him humiliated every episode.....

I preferred Nucky when he had a dash of humility – hasn’t made me smile once with his (now removed for season 3) wit – are they setting this character up to be killed at the end of the series?

We've seen him make a connection with Dean O'Bannion, where he acted with steely determination. We know he has limits and can have his buttons pushed easily, we know he is a stone cold killer, we know he isn't adverse to breaking the law for monetary gain (he probably squares it away in his head in his crazy religious way). And we are seeing how trying to lead a normal life is smashing him back brick by brick. I reckon he breaks and reverts back to type.
My guess is that he gets involved in the famous Chicago wars, the one that we saw the start of when Al kills one of O'Bannions men.

I was thinking the same thing about Nucky. It worked in Romanzo Criminale...but then the show is based around Nucky and his empire, so ultimately I doubt we'll see him gone by the end of this series.

This season is a lot darker than previous, not in a bad way just saying.

We are enjoying it, very well written.

I'm finding it's really dragging its heels so far this season, was only at the end of the fourth episode that things seem to have finally got going. Still great TV, but more of a slow-burner thus far.

Still really enjoying the series, but it's not as fun as it was.

Nucky was always a fun character to watch, a real turn of whit etc, now you're just waiting for the next atrocity.

I'm interested to see what happens to the FBI guy, he's clearly heading for some sort of loss of faith, I'm betting he ends up working on the wrong side of law for one of the gangster, I noticed he's sleeping with his nanny now.

They have a baby now, or are expecting? And I know I'm a pedant, but he's a prohibition agent.
He won't work for Capone, since he faced Capone down in the first ep.

I forget what it was now, but in the most recent (downloaded) episode I'm sure Nucky said somethign just as it cut to camera and I thought "that's brilliant" - but for the life of me can't recall what it was. But I remember it being brilliant.

There we go, possibly the least useful post ever made on PH biggrin
