Jesus Christ, the character development and story line is fking brilliant!

It's like The Wire or Sopranos, I just a constant wait for the next episode!

I have watched the sopranos and the wire, and in comparison find this too slow and no real depth originality to the characters. there are too many story lines going on and misses out on the depth of characters that the sopranos had in the psychological aspect.

it is good but not great. I came away from it not really learnt much from it.

The psychological aspect of Sopranos was boring or is it because the psychologist had an annoying voice?

I thought the first series was good, but something was missing. I think the second series is great and has come up to scratch.

Think it's a good show but my word it is slow. They need to speed things up a little and not have so many damn plots with people who all look the same!

The reason it's so good is the multiple stories / threads of interest. You also need to keep an eye on the characters that aren't front and centre. A young and ruthless Al Capone is emerging.

Harsh, that's a good one werd summary!
Just in time for the holidays... I didn't think he'd do it! I'll miss Jimmy

And I was thinking he'd gone all soft...
Not disappointed here smile Over on the other channel though Dexter has gone all predictable... One episode left there, maybe to redeem himself...

Just watched the last two...wow, things are unravelling for Jimmy. I already knew what Manny did (saw it on FB), the actor wanted to show that Manny wasn't wholly happy with his actions, originally he was meant to be 100% cold over it.
At first I was bored/not happy with the flashback...but I started to enjoy it and it revealed a lot about Jimmy's situation, and we finally got an answer on that obvious question.
The ending was awesome. Van Alden and Jimmy...ace. Like GoT, nothing happens in a vacuum.

fk...just went to wiki to check on Van Alden's name and read a massive spoiler for the last episode.....st!

I just watched last night's HBO episode.
I figured something a bit freaky was going to happen with Jimmy's Mum, I didn't quite figure on it being that.
Doing what? (Is this something that hasn't yet been shown in the UK yet?)

And Van Alden on the run - I was wondering when someone was going to figure out what happened to his first partner!
Was that the one that he drowned?

What's the story behind his collegaue that got burned in the explosion? Van Alden seems to be responsible for it (but I'm not sure why)
