IIRC, in last night's episode it was briefly shown sitting on one of the worksurfaces during an interior shot - perhaps it was removed while the boat was being painted.

Perhaps it was always meant to work indoors on the frame, it's possible they were only testing it outdoors when done as that was the only place they could fit the three blokes and a camera crew and show it working?

They'd not earn a living as coach painters would they, brush marks or what?

Also quite amused at him hanging his Bill Morris paper with horrible dirty paint covered fingers.

So a painter and decorating job's out of the question too then.

"Right chief!"

I'm a bit behind on these, only having watched the cotton sheet/mattress making episode on iPlayer last night.
I do find it oddly addictive though....

Have been following this and recording the series. I caught a bit of this when my kids were watching earlier... Where the fk has that bloody great bell gone? My eldest said it was missing, I suggested a continuity type error thing, as in they filmed tonight's episode before the other one, but as he pointed out the boat wasn't painted up in the bell episode. It's made me feel a bit, empty.
The whole point of the bell was it was operated by a remote clapper so it could be located anywhere. When I watched that episode I thought no more than they just filmed it outside for ease. No-one in their right mind would have ever put a bell there anyway, would get demolished on the first low bridge.

Wrap up warm, it gets very chilly in there!

Also do not follow the example of eating on the deck, with the amount of water dripping from the ceiling!
I wish they'd filmed entering the tunnel from the rear deck, as before you get in the tunnel yourself, you cannot see the front end of the boat. And once you are in the tunnel, you can only see a tiny spec of light in the distance, which is the exit.

^^^^ Chief it is, boss! hehe
What I'd like to know is, what's all this baking to do with boat-building?
