I did hear some time ago that they were going to combine books 2 & 3 into Series 2, but given that the majority of things that happened seemed to be from book 2, I assumed they had put a lot of what I ranted about in to make it 'good for TV'.

Halb has a man crush on Ramsey Bolton, although not quite sure what this says about Halb. Maybe he wants to be dressed in skin tight leather and referred to as Reek.
Personally Crook fits almost exactly how I imagined Ramsey to be, but with black hair and thats easily sorted, rumour I have seen says Frankie McGinty could be Ramsey, again another guy hanging around with actors on set.
Vince, your friend is Kerry Ingram? Won an Olivia for a musical apparently?
Clive Russell has been casted as Blackfish (I take it that doesnt have to be spoiler tagged?) Not particularly famous, has been in The Bill Midsommer Murders and Doctors but who hasnt?
Charlotte Hope is confirmed cast as Myranda which is odd as she isnt in it till book 5, again rumours suggest she could be Meera but she is prettier than I imagined Meera
