I think I've got a new favourite character.

Jaqen H'ghar. Badass!

I've only read book 1, but watched Season 1 and 2 and really enjoyed him, and I'm hoping he appears again in the later books/series.
A man names a man as an awesome character?
A man agrees with a man.
hehe

Can anyone who has read all the books comment on if he will be sticking around? No spoilers though smile

Yeah its pure speculation so I dont think it merits spoiler tags personally. Apologies if it does

We have seen that he can make his face to that of another man, its not beyond the realms of possibility that he could be anyone else in the series. Syrio is another of the fans favourites and we didnt definitly see him dead.

But hasn't GRRM as good as said that Syrio is gone?

Well kind of, he said he wasnt immortal and fans should draw their own conclusions to his fate.

Still doesnt stop people speculating does it!

When we see Arya listening to Syrio's final battle, we hear the clash of steel sword on steel sword; since Syrio was only armed with a broken wooden sword when she left him, we assume he was killed, however the steel on steel might indicate that he had armed himself with a proper sword, and he was quite handy with one of those.

I really can't see Jaqen being Syrio (no link at all)

Jaqen is an assassin

Syrio was a famous swordsman (people who hired him would have surely checked his background before allowing him to train the daughter of the hand of the king?)

Love Syrio to come back but suspect he was killed

Suspect Jaqen will come back however (have read the books, just can't remember them it's been so long!)

Game Of Thrones season 3 première synopsis leaked

Just the synopsis of what episode 21 is about, the kind you read on a TV guide, but still spoiler if you do not want to know anything.

That is not good news. He does not need more distractions. He is meant to be writing Winds of Winter.

My thoughts exactly. The next book will never be finished at this rate, let alone the rest of the series.

Off a bit of a tangent but has anyone here tried the Game of Thrones game for Xbox 360/PS3?

I figured I'd take a punt on it and ordered a copy from Amazon on the basis that it was sub £10. The concensus of the reviews there seems to be that the combat system isn't great but it has a very good story, which will be the main draw for fans of the series (like me).

Just wondered whether we have any gamers here who could comment on their own experience?

There are two Game of Thrones games (on the PC) not sure if both are available for consoles.

Which one of these two did you get?

GoT Genesis RTS - http://store.steampowered.com/app/58550/?snr=1_7_7...
GoT RGP - http://store.steampowered.com/app/208730/?snr=1_7_...

This one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-of-Thrones-Xbox-360/d...

"The story of A Game of Thrones takes place during the first book of the saga, at the time when Jon Arryn, the Hand of King Robert Baratheon, is found dead at King's Landing.

The game allows players to follow two epic quests: Mors and Alester's. Their totally original story was canonized by George R.R. Martin himself and perfectly integrates the original story the fans are so familiar with in the series.

All throughout the game, the numerous references to books, characters and famous locations form an impressive Westeros encyclopedia, which players can consult at any time during their adventures.

Mimicking the books, the two heroes' stories are told alternatively, chapter by chapter, each character sharing the role of main character… up until their paths cross during a common quest.

Welcome to a totally innovative narrative style for an RPG."
