Loved the Ramsay/Reek bits, the actor playing Ramsay is 100% perfect and is channelling the madness very well. I love how they are fleshing out this part of the books in the show.

I had forgotten the dwarf war of the 5 kings bit too, so that was a nice surprise - it's a shame they didn't manage to fit in the dwarf jousting tournament.

I thought it was the pie. And not I do not know what happens I haven't read the books, I just noticed a very deliberate after-pie shot after his piece was taken off.
I believe that was to show the dead birds. Its meant to be bad luck I think. You are supposed to cut the cake and not kill the birds

I may have imagined this though

Ah, thinking back I saw white and red (it was a quick glimpse that I saw) so that was the blood of the white birds. His new Valyrian sword cutting too much pie smile

Yes, I think you are right - that bit wasn't very clear though. I think they had a real problem trying to fit all the bits in that they wanted to show in this episode.

Just re-watched that scene, looks like he also takes the goblet from Margaery's side of the King's table.

Good that the little st got his comeuppance but as a character he'll be missed. Have not read the books but wrt clues in the episode my pidgeon Sherlock skillz point to Marjorie's mum.

Cersai fingering the Imp was a clever move, interesting to see how this plays out.

Lovely little interplay between Tywin, Cersai and newbiewhatsisgoatee too.

I dont understand, are you saying the queen of thorns put poison in the cup that was on her own daughters table? And if so does she want Margery dead? Or that the poison cup came from margerys table and she knew nothing about it. If so was the poison put there by Cersei to kill Margery. What happens to Margery now actually? Is she still queen because though she married joffery, she has no royal blood and has no child by joffery?I assume she isn't queen and its gone back to Cersei who will use all her power to kill tyrion because she believes he killed joffery.

Was that the kid that plays joffrey singing at the end?
It really sounds like him, doesn't it? What I think he would sound like, i mean.

I've learned to stay with the closing credits as they musically re-state what I'm thinking/feeling (usually "OMG" weeping "WTF" or similar) about the episode.
Walking Dead is good that way also. IMO smile

Or was it still the cup from Sansa's table after Joffrey kicked it, and it was really Tyrion. "and right now Kings are dropping like flies" Thaat's sure to come back on him...
No matter, he touched ALL the cups aat some point.

But I'm sure it'll be something you and I don't expect and would never predict...

So who's the king now? Didn't Joffrey have a younger brother? They made a point of showing what looked like a youngerversion of Joffrey at the top table in several shots.

Good point there. But as Joffrey was a usurper in the view of some, so also would his brother be. That's what Ned Stark was working out, approx. 47 episodes ago don't you remember?
Gendry is still alive somewhere I believe.

Still, I'll bet on the dragons...

Isn't the younger brother too young? Cersei is now Queen Regent?

No it wasn't. I checked as well. It was Sigur Ros, the Icelandic band, they also had a cameo as the band Joffrey threw money at.

It's definitely been neatly left open... Would Joffery and Margaery not have needed the bedding rite thing that has happened a couple of times to fully complete their marriage?

For someone who hasn't read any of the books the last two episodes endings have been yikes but good.

I'd like to think it was Sansa who slipped something in the cup when she picked it up for Tyrion but that was such an unplanned event I don't think she could've acted upon it.

To be fair, that was her face through most of the episode, very hard to read. Did they have Botox back then?. hehe

What was the reason for the opening scenes - the girl being hunted by dogs. I know the two men involved, but not who the hunted girl or arrow shooting girl were. Any connection between them?
