I think that was just to remind us how vile that torturer bloke (I am rubbish with names) is. I imagine that will be leading up to him being served a bit of his own medicine soon.

You will note that we got a staunch reminder of how nasty Joffrey is right before he got his comeuppance.

hehe

If you can't remember the name, for a northerner, go for "Snow", it's their preferred bd name. biggrin

I liked the episode, though I would have loved to see him suffer a lot more. It's also great that (in true mystery style), it could have been really everyone there. 'cept for Tyrion, who, ironically, will probably take the fall for it biggrin.

What was the reason for the opening scenes - the girl being hunted by dogs. I know the two men involved, but not who the hunted girl or arrow shooting girl were. Any connection between them?
He is Roose Bolton's bd son and bd is an apt description. He likes to hunt people for fun and generally makes Joffrey look like a nice chap

As said, Joffrey was a spoiled brat made king. Ramsay Snow is just plain evil.

My wife's already told me who the culprit is as she's read all the books - I begged her to tell me! lol

I think it was Cersie. She realised last episode that she'd lost control of Joffrey, and that he was an uncontrolable psycho, so shes offed him so that his brother will be King and she can control him again.

Don't forget the fool lead Sansa away; "Come with me my Lady if you want to live" or something to that effect which suggests a wider conspiracy.

The girl with Ramsay was one of the girls who teased Theon in episode 7 of series 3 just before Theon had his cumberland chopped off. I thought at first the other girl was the other one and there was a bit of jealousy played out over Ramsay but it's someone different so just a bit of homely psychopathy to while away the hours until daddy dearest arrived.

I assumed they were the girls who'd helped him torture Theon and one had fallen out of favour for some reason... could just be what he does at weekends though...

It is what he does.
From http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Ramsay_Snow

He openly enjoys abusive practices such as having young women stripped naked and released into the Bolton forests, before hunting them with a pack of feral dogs. He gives a quick death to women who give him good sport (after raping them first), then flays their corpses. He likes to name his dogs after the women he enjoys most to "honor" them. The women who do not give him good sport are raped and then flayed alive. The skins of his kills are brought back with him to the Dreadfort as gruesome trophies. The bodies of the woman are fed to his dogs.

I think Margery is in on it, remember the "I don't want to be a Queen, I want to be The Queen" line from a few episodes back?

Plus she knows what a "monster" Joffrey is and married him anyway after Sansa told her - I think this was her plan all along.

I reckon the fool was in on it too, remember when Margery saved him at Joffrey's name day? He will be completely loyal to her after that.

But it is Margery's mother who seems to pull all the strings.....my bet would be on her..
