Game of Thrones - No spoilers
Discussion
I would guess that any normal fire would be quenched by their cold.
It gets colder when the Others appear, though they're not sure if it's the Others that cause it or the Others follow it.
Longclaw is deffo VS. As the discussion before about Ice mentioned though, there isn't much VS about, each of the great houses has maybe one item (save the Lannisters) and probably a few of the older lesser houses (ie Mormont), probably more in the North...I would guess.

If you would like to read more (and there is a LOT of detail here by some people that make me feel very normal and not nerdy) read at this link
There are huge spoilers on this site though so dont read it unless you have read all the books. (and even then there is probably spoilers on there)

Not really a fan of fan-made stuff, but this "trailer" is quite epic:

Just catching up on this thread - agree 100%, an epic 'trailer' indeed. Worth a watch if you've not seen it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HyMl5wJ0s0
Just watched episode 3. Now to finish the last 200 pages of ISOIAF Dance with Dragons.
Just been clicking through Youtube looking at the Thronecast episodes, I watched last weeks Sam Tarley episode. Noticed an older episode with Natalie Tena...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gDQIB6AHw0
What a woman! Comes across as a brilliant laugh.

i'm so surprised that so many people haven't read the books and attracted by its series.
even heard that a Math teacher in French high school punished students by writing all the characters who are gonna dead in this season.
well, GoT.
I'm not. I've read the Harry Potter books and seen all the films but I doubt 5% of the people who have watched the films have read the books.even heard that a Math teacher in French high school punished students by writing all the characters who are gonna dead in this season.
well, GoT.

Why? What can it cover in a couple of hours that two episodes of the series can't? I'm starting to fear 'spin-off central' is coming.Although I'd watch Tyrion and Bronn on their own show.
That 'Game of Thrones' song a few posts up is just....weird. Why do people do it?
The graphic novel I was aware of is just the same plots as the books but with pictures. Is there another? I dont read a lot of comics
There is a huge amount of lore they could make into a film. Id imagine a prequel or a side story would work best. The books cover so much that isnt in the series or is only briefly mentioned. I believe though that it would need HBO to approve it as GRRM is handcuffed to them now. Lets hope its better than Sex in the City!
