S04E01?
Arya was great as well.
How good is she actually with Needle? I know she has had training from Syrio Forel, but it isn't really alluded to how far they got with their training.
Is she ok-ish, just a notch above non-trained or would she be able to take on trained soldiers with it?
She is not a trained knight, probably better than your average peasant soldier but not as good as any knightArya was great as well.

Yeah, apart from the rape, massacre, siege, duel, orgy, panicked escape and murder, it was a quiet one
Read a lot of stuff on the net about the 'rape.'A lot of hysteria, I didn't see it as such myself.
She's a cucking funt.
Believe it or not I have not yet seen a single episode of GoT. I have a hankering to buy a decent box set that the wife and I can watch when there's FA else decent on the box, which let's face it is pretty regular. We both like fantasy fiction, so have been thinking about taking the plunge and buying the Seasons 1-3 Blu-Ray box set as it looks like our taste in viewing and there many hours of entertainment to while away a good few evenings.
I guess I'm asking the wrong people here, as you're all obviously completely hooked, but I'm assuming I won't be disappointed. Without reading all 181 pages of this thread would anyone care to recommend somewhere I can read a little background, perhaps a brief synopsis of each of the seasons, preferably without any major spoilers?

Pretty spoiler free and is tailored for the TV show morethan the book.
Houses of Westeros, series 1. So no spoilers - http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/seaso...
Map of Westeros series 1 - http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/seaso...
Series background, history of Westeros - http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/seaso...
^^^^^^^^^^ this is very useful, Roberts Rebellion and such to set the scene for episode 1.
If you click on the menu button on the top left (3 horizontal lines) makes sure spoiler alerts is on. If you decided to go deeper and further in.

Exactly my position last Saturday. If you have sky then you can use their catchup service.
If not then the cheapest way is to use Now TV. You are not tied into a contract and for £4.99 you can buy a months entertainment pass

You won't be disappointed. It is the best show by far IMO.

You should be warned that there are regular 'explicit scenes of a sexual nature' (in case your Mrs. isn't keen on such things).I guess I'm asking the wrong people here, as you're all obviously completely hooked, but I'm assuming I won't be disappointed. Must admit that the TV show is brilliant how in a few seconds of footage they capture many many pages of turgid Martin prose.
Something the Mrs and I couldn't decide. On the Meereen battlements was one of the actors the daft lad from Trollied?
Damned annoying this show for that. We saw another actor that was familiar but can hell as like place him. Even worse when you don't know the character name as the cast list is so long.

Was the other actor this guy?.
He has been in a few comedies (Ideal, Pramface) and as such whenever he pops up in GoT I can help saying "I'm on probation!".
Finally decided to give the books a try - my theory was there are plenty of good books I have to read, but very little on the TV, so was holding off for the sake of spoilers.
After the first 34% (thanks kindle!) of the first book, I think I made the right choice - it just doesn't seem as good - reads too much like a script for the TV show, rather than a book in its own right - banging on about what people are wearing and what is on their banner seems to be a favorite topic.
