Is the king / prince / whatever of Dorne in a wheelchair?
Hardly recognised Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abderrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi ( aka Alexander Siddig ) in the role - I remember him like thisconfucuis said:
I take it you liked it then
Really liked the way Tywins brother knew what Cersei was at and told her to fk off. However Cersei really is whittling down the small council, big power play there?
Also my brother made a good point, did the dragon return because Dani killed a man instead of showing mercy?
I thought perhaps Drogon returned as he knew his mother was in great need of him and maybe in danger, perhaps the first bit of danger she has faced since she had the dragons.Really liked the way Tywins brother knew what Cersei was at and told her to fk off. But I do like your brothers theory.
When he flew off at the end, I half expected to burn some of the city.

I think that's why they returned as she'd made the mistake of lopping off popular chap's napper. Never a good thing to do ime. But I do like your brothers theory.

Thing is though, that was a knight she struck at? So presumably didn't have a crappy sword anyway.
Is the valerian steel really that strong that it can just shatter normal swords?!
Also ... do we know how Ned wound up with it?
The knight's sword was probably castle-forged steel, which would be what every knight would require, but who knows..fell on bad times, had to pawn it and go with a crappy sword. But, Brienne is a genuine hard hitter and with the best sword one can own (bar one), so the chances are there that it probably could smash through castle-forged steel. Not everytime, but it's nice to see.Is the valerian steel really that strong that it can just shatter normal swords?!

Valyrean (sp?) is like a super hard alloy, and no-one can recreate it so they are coveted jealously. All the old (rich) families had one as a sign of prestige and wealth. As said, it was a huge family embarrassment that the Lannisters didn't have one. So as soon as Rob was dead, it was a no brainer to take, Ice.
Other Valreryan steel weapons mentioned on show...LOngclaw, the dagger used to assassinate Bran Stark.
I took a look at metals in wiki, I reckon it'd be like using a Ultra-high-carbon steel blade against a stainless steel blade...though I'm no metallurgy expert.
I'm only watching leaked episodes in sync with the series (so S05Ep02), but am starting to feel that Brienne was a waste of Jamies sword, especially with Tywin dead. She's like a straight A* high school student who chose Art as her degree and is now regretting it with a job that barely matters and she doesn't even want anymore. Has it been mentioned in the books at this stage what happened to Geoffrey's (shorter?) sword?

Is there a better sword than a Valaryan blade? The Morningstar? I've only read the first book but was of the impression that it was a badass blade due to it's origins and probably abnormal composition making it above normal steel, but Valaryan steel has always seemed the sharpest/strongest ever seen from what I've read.glazbagun said:

I have to say that I disagree, I think she may be a little without purpose at the moment but she is very good with the sword and will push on to keep her oath. You wouldn't want to have to fight her, and she sees straight through Littlefinger unlike the permanently gullible Sansablueg33 said:
