That's shocking, I never realised they were so young. None of them look anywhere near that.
They make them out to be alot older in the TV series.

But you see that Rickon is just about a toddler, allow a couple of years in between kids...

It's also made clear which of them are of similar ages, You don't have to have read the books to pick it up?

Dany is Arya's age in the books.

They've had to make them slightly older due to the adult content...

Up until the 'modern' royals here, the game was played with matches between country's & royal kids!

It's probably for the best that a year passed between the shooting of this scene

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddzNpzhWFQU

and this one.

Natalie Dormer says that she was not comfortable with the original plot for the first scene and had unspecified changes made to it.

He recovered when Robb's army arrived and he left Harranhal with Bolton's men to whatever Castle they went to, there he met Brienne and Jaime when they were brought to Bolton's place (Bear and the Maiden Fair episode). He fixed Jaime's hand and then he left with him to King's Landing.
Ah yeah, he used boiled wine on Jamies stump, I remember. So he has no prior loyalty to the Lannisters and was genuinely half-killed by them and is motivated only by the opportunity to further study the "higher mysteries"?

House Wyl of Wyl features a black adder on its arms. Martin has confirmed that this is a nod to the BBC historical comedy series starring Rowan Atkinson, Blackadder.
Grand Maester Pycelle tells Cersei Lannister that she has not lost a son but gained a daughter when Margaery Tyrell weds Tommen. The exact same words are used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the Lord of Swamp Castle’s son marries a noblewoman with “huge tracts of... land”. Martin is a known fan of the film.

I have been 'binging' on series 1-4 over this weekend, and one of the things I like most is Jamie Lannister’s gradual transition from complete arrogance to humility.

I love how most of the characters are three-dimensional, rather than good or bad and nothing in-between (except perhaps for Joffrey who had no redeeming qualities..hehe )

Watching it all again gives a deeper appreciation of the rich tapestry of storylines and plots (and helps clear things up you perhaps didn't really notice the first time round) – bloody brilliant!

I have just done the same thing over the last couple of weeks. Makes so many things clearer. The relationships between people for example.
However I did notice that Aryas list gets longer and shorter on occasion, Ilyn Payne seems to have dropped off for no reason I can fathom!

YAY!!! That wretched little fk Slynt got what was coming to him
Best bit of the episode, I loved that bit. Valyarian steel bhes! biggrin
Yaaaas! When he started pleading for mercy I was genuinely afraid Jon was going to let him off. Takes me back to Jon telling Bran to watch as Ned chopped the deserter!

Can tell that it impressed Stannis and I think even Father Jack was sitting there willing Slynt to STFU.
Best bit for ages! I was shouting at the telly 'G'wan, just do it!' 'Cut his fking head off' hehe

He did. And I was happy biggrin

After watching the last episode in series 4, I am wondering if Bran will end up helping to control the dragons, as the 'sage' tells him he will fly. And Daenerys (Sp?) is finding it increasingly difficult to control her dragons - could bran be the key?

It would be great to see the end game played out with all the good people from each house with Daenerys' army, to fight against the rest.

(This is pure guessing from watching what has already been aired...)

It was, but I watched it ages ago with the other 3 episodes and couldn't remember which bits where in that specific one.
