It'll be a shame if Robson & Bronn dies, he's a breath of fresh air on the show. Unfortunately the fact they made a point of showing him get sliced by one of the Snake brats who are known to employ poisons doesn't look good. frownfrownfrown

If I was a betting man (and I'm not), I'd bet on Bronn making it. He makes the story richer for being in.

He's one of my favourite characters, his one-liners are good comic relief

I certainly hope so as I agree entirely! (Never thought I'd find myself saying that about Jerome Flynn.....!!)

Am I the only who thinks that the reaction to the Sansa storyline has been rather excessive? I've seen suggestions that it was gratuitous and/or unnecessary but as far as I'm concerned it's entirely in keeping with the character we know Ramsay Bolton to be and it's hardly like it's a surprise that it happened. It's not like it actually showed anything, so it can't be accused of being voyeuristic.

Doubtless that makes me a heartless insensitive misogynistic pig but I really don't get the hate and vitriol thrown at the writers (other than the sort-of-understandable "How could you do that to Sansa - hasn't she suffered enough?!" backlash).

No it's just the same old champagne socialists/sofa sitting SJWs that kick up the most fuss.

Thing is, it could have been so so sooooo much worse if the books had been kept to. It isn't the real Sansa in the books, but the replacement girl gets put through some real nasty st, if I remember correctly Theon didn't just stand and watch either. Obviously they would never go that far, but I'm surprised they didn't use Theon more.

Again, going off memory. It was heavily implied, rather than written out.

I'm glad it's not just me who though that fight looked pretty weak. I think at one point he punches one of them in the face and she reacts like he'd thrown a rolled up sock at her.

Yes definitely the professionally offended at work there. I've seen far worse on TV before.

The rape scene from This Is England, Channel 4 series not the movie, was plenty more brutal and involving. I didn't find the scene disturbing at all really, it was built up from the moment they were arranged for marriage. Theon being forced to watch whilst tearing up was a nice touch IMO.

This was a very different scene to that of the time Jamie took Cersie that time. That was quite graphic, and obvious what was happening. This on the otherhand was behind the camera...so you could only hear and lead to your own conclusions as to what was happening. For all we know they could have been playing twister and Theon was pissed as he wasn't allowed to play!

This season has been a little dull so far. No big fight scenes, shag all nudes. I don't think I saw a single breastical on the last episode. The budget seems to have been reduced significantly from what I can tell.

Still it is compelling watching, so Im not going to dump it. But it isn't as good as previous seasons....but maybe it is a victim of its own success? In that we build up 9 months of hype waiting for the thing to start, and give it a pretty high platform to deliver from.

The budget was increased. But they had an extra whole location with Dorne. They have three units running simultaneously, if you include the studio work in Ireland.

silly question here... was Sansa actually raped or is it that psychoboy likes it rough and loves to humiliate but this doesn't necessarily equate to the same thing?

It might have been rough, and horrible and degrading, but she consented ultimately?

If there is such a hoo-ha online about this, what was there about Theon (sp?) having one or two problems with Ramsey?!?!

Just wondering if there are double standards...

Oh, and I was sure he (Theon) would either (1) be made to join in (2) kill Ramsey for it and try to escape with Sansa

We haven't seen Bran, Hodor, the 3 eyed raven or the children of the forest yet this season.
What's happened to Rickon & Osha? They've not been around for a couple of seasons now.

Pretty sure Brans storyline isn't touched this season.
I think Rickon & Osha went to Jon Umbar for protection (Robb Starks bannermen, the one that had his fingers bit off by Robbs dire wolf, grey wind).

Great Jon was captured by the Freys at the Red Wedding. Rickon is off to see another of the Umbers, the nephew iirc
