My only problem with this...... why did Arya have to sit outside waiting for days (as far as we know seeing no one go in or out) when anyone else can just wander in?
Is there a side door?
She went there asking for a specific person (who shouldn't have been known?) and produced a very rare medallion which offered certain privileges. I presume they had to be sure she was worthy of and dedicated enough to get what she wanted from them.

The obviously sick and dying would only want end their life and that end of life was beneficial to the house so they would have an easier time entering.

That's my own non-book reading take on it. smile

I do hope things begin to move along quite quickly now. With Tywin dead, most of the Starks dead, Tyrion and Varys both away from political intrigue, the wildling army crushed, sansa being a helpless victim again and Arya presumably spending the next while becoming faceless and depressed, it doesn't really feel like a show about the movement of great houses so much as a bunch of people trekking to where they need to be for the next act. For an entire series.

I expect the cack-kar to hit the fan in King's Landing next week....or erm, rather tonight.

And Jon will be in Hardholme...where all the wildings are. I don't know what's gonna go on there, but I expect it'll be ace.

True, it is her consent which does that.
At what point does she offer consent free of duress to be fked whilst her adopted brother, who she thinks killed her brother and sister, watches?

I hope it goes off in King's Landing! I can't see much action with the Wildlings, I expect it will be more like his visits north to Mance. Sat in a tent chatting.

When she was offered the choice not to continue on the ride there to marry him by Littlefinger en-route; she knew she'd had to consummate the marriage.

When she met him & agreed to the service; she could have left with Littlefinger

When she was in the marriage ceremony, she said yes.

There was always going to have to be a witness, she'd been married before & grew up riding horses so bloody sheets wouldn't suffice as proof

Theon isn't her adopted brother. He was held as a prisoner of war; that he was treated almost as a son shows the goodness of Ned & his family

Knowing you are going to have to have sex with someone isn't the same as consenting to it but I think we're going to end up going round in circles here. Suffice to say I can't see any greyness around the issue, subjecting a woman to sexual intercourse she is very clearly not comfortable with is rape.

She knew what marrying him would mean

She was given the opportunity not to do so

She went through with it

What happened to her wasn't nice, or right

But ultimately, she consented to it

Non of the choices she had meant a happy life... She is stuck in a bad situation. She was aware it was going to happen but she didn't consent - ok she didn't directly say no but that doesn't mean yes. It was rape, but she knows that's what she has to do.

No, she got fked in a nasty way & she didn't want to do it, that doesn't mean it was rape

She consented, submitted to it, it wasn't even under duress as every time she had the option not to marry him, or even go anywhere near him, she chose him

If she had even once shook her head or cowered away from him I would agree with the rape, but she didn't. Yes, it was a horrible act and no she didn't want to do it, but ultimately she chose to do it so how can it be anything other than consensual if it was her choice?.

I don't want to go to work on Tuesday, but I will anyway, because of my unfortunate circumstance of not being born to a wealthy family and having to provide for myself. Can I claim that I am a victim of forced labour because I am doing something I would rather not be doing?.

Let me put this out there. If he had gently kissed and caressed her before intercourse then afterwards lay in bed softly stroking her hair after as she gazed into his eyes, would it still be rape?.

I reckon we'll see a battle and we haven't seen the White Walkers since...we saw that special one turn the baby?

I know we meet a wilding stkicker leader, but that's it. I'm expecting something big.

Any chance of that "something big" being a giant?. Those magnificent creatures deserve an encore.

They do! I'm expecting a fight! Although I don't know if the fight in the snow is the STannis/Ramsay thing or the Hardholme/Wilding/WW thing.

Yes.

Do you think he could have reasonably expected that she did not want to have sex in front of Theon or when she was crying as being fked?

She chose to do it, just like a prostitute does for an ugly guy - still not rape, neither is being fked in front of someone else.

Rape = without consent, she wasn't even under duress
