Actually now that I think back- did Theon climb the broken tower only to find Ramsay there or did he just go straight to Ramsey and drop Sansa in it?
That was my take on it.

Straight to him. Would have been odd for Ramsey to have his office set up in the tower they were expecting to put the candle?

Ah, got it. I thought he got wind of the plot via Friends In The North woman who was flayed, and was thus able to head Theon off. I guess that makes more sense.

I'm pretty sure I know how the queen and her brother get out of the pickle leaving cercsei on her own in there.
What's your reckoning.

aelish obviously has some get out of jail card for the Tyrells. I don't think I've enjoyed watching Cersei so much since the battle of Blackwater drunkenly talking to Sansa. When her face was frozen into that smile as she started to put two and two together you just knew something good was happening. She's such an awesome bh!
The eye flick to Lancel and then back to Head Sparrow was brilliant!

I said after last weeks episode all the have to do is murder the witness. No witness no fair trial. And the faithful seem to love their rules. This week little finger confirmed it when he said he would give her the boy or something can't remember exactly what he said but I took it as he would tell her how to get at the witness my only surprise is olenna didn't dob in the incest to the faithful

This season has had some individually good scenes but has been weighed down by either plodding or downright awful (most of Dorne) scenes elsewhere.

This episode was where it all came alive for me this season. Plotlines starting to reach fruition and even the sand snakes were OK this episode (strip choreography working allot better than fighting choreography )

It missed the big events of the end of the episode but I liked all the scenes in the North at the start, a palpable sense of dread that winter was coming.

But of course Cersei and Jorah at the end was great as well and Tyrion finally meets Dany as well!

Are we sure Ramsey wasn't in the tower Sansa waned him to climb?

Setting up shop there and having dinner while waiting for Theon is exactly what he would do (Assuming he found out off someone else about the woman).

I think Reek went straight to Ramsey, otherwise we would have seen him getting a hard time from Ramsey and turning into an even more quivering wreck.

Ramseys tower has windows in it (as you can see over Reeks shoulders) where as the broken tower is, em, broken/no windows.

If Ramsay had moved their anticipating Reek doing that then Reek would have been in for even more punishment.

I don't know whether to love or hate the High Sparrow. I also hate Cersei whilst appreciating what she does. With mummy locked up I'm anticipating some mistakes for the bd Tommen.

Bye bye Lannisters is looking very probable. Who would take the throne should Tommen die?

The whole "high sparrow" arc doesn't feel justified to me. He might have a few acolytes who are prepared to fight for him but compared to the King's Guard they look untrained and unarmed.

I know our own history shows the Vatican to have a lot of political clout but wasn't that backed-up by whole nations and their armies prepared to side with them? In GoT, the "local" crown isn't fighting for them.

The "faith" in this case doesn't carry enough weight to my eyes which justifies their position of power.

His sister in Dorne in theory would but the Tyrells would possibly make a power play.

Though has Baelish hinted at how high he wants to go?

The faith (High Sparrow) has people power, the Lannisters are despised by the people..

Power vacuum now in Kings Landing and Stannis is phaffing about in the snow, Danni is stalled, Dornish can't act, who is going to fill the vacuum?

The show hasn't had time to expand it much, but the 'Sparrow' movement has sprung up from the effects of the wars of the Riverlands, and the city has been flooded with refugees, looking for succour, which the church is giving them. A bit like Watt's rebellion which almost toppled the golden-haired boy king's reign of Rick2, it's people power.

The broken tower has windows, Jaime pushed ran out of one after slotting Cersei. biggrin

Myrcella is next in line, with Kevan asked as Regent?

Edit.
Storm of Swords had two seasons, this season is two books wedged together, over 2,000 pages?
This article has mild spoilers for what the next few episodes.

I've not read the books, so could be wildly off the mark. But my thoughts are Stannis going to Winterfell and as Ramsey said - they're used to fighting in the cold and Stannis isn't. So Stannis starts to lose, only for the Free folk to turn up and save the day as they obviously are used to the cold.

Also, I'm hoping Jon Snows uncle has taken Mances place and brough the Free Folk back together. Making it easier for Jon to get them south.

Not too sure about Stannis' daughter, as the way I read it she has to be sacrificed for him to win

That would be a pretty long siege for them to get down in time, can't see Stannis army lasting that long?

Thanks to Cersei's machinations Tommen is now isolated with no council to advise him apart from the rather ineffectual Maester Pycelle - maybe his granndmother-in-law will be able to offer him some ideas.

Funny when Cersei kept shouting 'but I am the queen' after she sat smirking while Margaery said the same thing
