Jorah was doing the spying for Varys then, is that right? Varys might end up saving the future stone man. Also, he must be spreading that Greyscale about a bit with all the fighting and body contact.

I think the greyscale is the least of the problems those pit fighters have.

If you can remember as far back as season one, when Arya chased a cat into the basement, she hid in a dragon skull as Varys and the landlord who was putting up Viserys and Danerys were talking about "needing more time" as Drogo wouldn't make a move until his son was born.
Now the motives aren't clear- I can't remember the landlords name in EP01 When we first see Drogo, but he's clearly telling Viserys what he wants to hear as opposed to the truth. But it seems that Varys is pally with the movement to restore the Targaryens, for whatever reason.
In this context it fits in well with his blarb to Tyrion about a great ruler who cares for the people, etc. The thing is, does Dany know Varys? Was FZ reporting to him? He could clear a whole lot up, or have his head removed.
This is another reason why I miss Ser Barristan- Dany bh herself surrounded by airheads leaves her adrift from her history. Barristan could be used to drop into conversation some enriching trinket lime the way her brother would sing or whatever. The show is losing it's links to its own history by concentrating on the kids too much.
Yeah, Iilario Morpatis. Tyrion and Varys ended up in his house in Pentos. People expected him to turn up but I guess the actor couldn't make it or they decided to do it without him. I think Danni would have been to young to remember Varys. But Barry could make things awkward (obviously not now). Sending Tyrion (one of the smartest men/talkers) to lay the foundation stones of...'we're actually working for you' might be the safest route. biggrin

As for Tyrion, is it bad that I now get suspicious of his "coincidentiality" of managing to stay alive against all odds? I know he's smart, but he seems to be using up all his luck in a rapid pace. In any other TV show it would be normal for such a popular character, but it borders on implausible (slave merchant) in the GoT universe biggrin.

I agree. I think he could have died at the Airie or Mountain vs Viper, but I doubt he'll die in a mundane way like Barristan. Likewise Jon Snow- he's not going to simply fall of his horse and break his neck one day.

Hmm, I found the Airie a nice set up, he's smart and talks himself out of getting killed and makes a valuable friend. The Mountain vs Viper, it made sense for his brother to save him.
Last week with the slave merchant, really, a "cock" merchant?
This week with the slave merchant "you're right, he IS funny"?

Haha. I was thinking of King Alexander III of Scotland. Pretty skilled king by most accounts, defeated the vikings and secured the Scottish islands, led an era of relative peace after that- died by falling from his horse in Fife whilst drunk and on his way to shag his missus:

Which eventually plunged us into war with England.

Like the majority of people I watch GoT for two things; sex and violence.

The nudity has always been the best part of it.

So this week when we saw the dragon queen covering up her nips in bed it just left me cold. Cold and frightened and wondering what the hell was going on. 3 series ago she would have stood proudly, chest pushed out, rubbing her own nips while some slave slut did other things to her snatch.

One can only assume that the nudity is being toned down significantly. That upsets me a great deal as I like seeing naked chix more than I like seeing dressed chix.

She's a new character though. I'm yet to develop a vested interest in her admittedly excellent norks.

Daenerys has been there since day one, swinging her tits and arse all over the place. Why don't we get it now, HBO? Why don't we get it now?

Because she (& others) are now able to negotiate it out of their contract

She should have 1 breast uncovers according to the book's description of the style of dress she wears.

She turned down the role of Ms Steele in FSoG so she wouldn't be typecast laugh
