This isn't about self-discipline, it's about self-censorship.
This is a discussion forum for a tv series, seems like a few people have decided that because they're unwilling to watch it when it first airs, have decided to use browsers for which the spoiler tags don't work and cannot read a signpost, everyone is required to self-censor until they've seen it.
And they have the gall to label others selfish.
Would it really have been that difficult for you to wait until 10 O'Clock tonight to ask your question? This is a discussion forum for a tv series, seems like a few people have decided that because they're unwilling to watch it when it first airs, have decided to use browsers for which the spoiler tags don't work and cannot read a signpost, everyone is required to self-censor until they've seen it.

Seriously - posting rules? On an open forum? Who gives you the right to dictate what people can and cannot post?
If you and your little clique want to censor what people talk about and when, I suggest you find yourselves a closed forum to do it in.
And you can take your stated and implied insults with you.

It's a forum with rules, I don't dictate them; the posters do. Just because you dislike them it doesn't make YOU right to tell others not to complain that YOU have selfishly spoiled things for the majority.

Then self censor yourself until after the majority have been able to watch the UK showing rather than the few that can watch the US times. This is a discussion forum for a tv series, seems like a few people have decided that because they're unwilling to watch it when it first airs, have decided to use browsers for which the spoiler tags don't work and cannot read a signpost, everyone is required to self-censor until they've seen it.

It's a forum with rules set by the forum owners.
Posters abide by the rules, they don't make them.

I watched the UK showing this morning, having recorded it from a UK channel last night.

I agree, but it is even easier to stay out of the thread for those not wanting to be spoiled. What do people imagine is going to be posted in here 12 or so hours before the show airs but after it has been shown abroad? Apart from posts stating how impatient they are to see the episode, it's very likely to be people that have seen it posting "Its awesome/rubbish/boring..." type posts. Or people argueing about spoilers So, nothing much of value, might as well wait until 10 O'Clock before venturing in.
All sorts of stuff is discussed during the week in this thread, not just a flurry of activity on the day it's aired. Why should a selfish few spoil things for the majority?

Again, I agree - I'm not saying avoid it all week, just for the 1 day when there is high probability of somebody either deliberately or accidentally spoiling it.Why should a selfish few spoil things for the majority?

You mean the UK repeat that's on tonight?

Funny, it's not listed as a repeat in the TV guide I watched the UK showing this morning, having recorded it from a UK channel last night.
You don't like it? fk off out of the thread; 99% of us don't want people that spoil it for us in it.
It's not that hard to wait until 10pm to show you know nothing about the show

I know where you are coming from, I just don't see why they should (I've seen it ). People that post spoilers before the UK showing in a thread where it's been agreed not to, are selfish dicks IMHO
When they then try to argue that they are right & everyone else is wrong, just proves they know they're in the wrong "the man he doth protest too much"

Whilst you're there, see if you can learn the difference between a UK and a US showing.
As for knowledge about the show, seems I know a lot more about it than you given you're an episode behind.
And you can add to that I also know how to use a DVR, take heed of sign posts and find a browser that works with spoiler tags.
As I said, some people shouldn't be allowed to use the internet without supervision.

The 2am showing is the US timed showing, not the UK show Whilst you're there, see if you can learn the difference between a UK and a US showing.

I'm not, I've seen it already, but I'm able to post about it today without ruining it for anyone, other that you you know nothing
yes, you after your comment to Tremaine above. Much love - the rest of the posters on this thread

This is when the episode is first aired in the UK. Hope that's clear now?
It's then available all day on demand. Helpfully, Sky even put it as their banner picture for their on demand service, so you can't miss it every time you press the "Guide" button on your remote.
