I've just done a quick look for Lovejoy, he has pretty much confirmed just who is coming back. biggrin

As for Jon Snow, he's coming back as well. That'll involve some magic I suppose, maybe a bit of necrophilia? biggrin

Do you mean John Show or Kit Harrington? Because GRRM has confirmed that JS is done.

I can't decide if I want *speculation* the Hound to come back or not. He was possibly my favorite character from the first four seasons and there's plenty of scope for him to survive in the books. If he is alive, then the church of the seven know about him- he'd be a great entry in trial by combat should they get wiped out and their leaders put on trial.

But then trial by combat has been done to death a bit I feel, and it'd feel like a waste to bring him back just to have him all zen and self immolate or lose to Zombie Clegane.
I'm looking forward to how it will play now that the slaves and plebs of Essos and Westeros have found champions.

And I want to know if Littlefinger actually has a plan or if he plays everything by ear and improvises- he could end up lord of Winterfell fairly easily and, Sansa and Roose aside, I can't see anyone really nailing him before the whitewalkers come.

I had no idea before Lovejoy piped up...that was one aspect of the story I knew nothing about, some of the reveal has now been robbed from me, but ho hey, they'll be loads more.
I disagree about the ease with which LF can be Lord of Winterhell, I think his student will supersede the teacher. Also, apparently he had no idea of the nature of Ramsay.

Yeah if anyone hasn't read Lovejoy's comments (I can never remember his real name) I'd try and avoid them. They're definitely more spoilery than anything else you've read over the death or otherwise of Jon Snow.

No doubt he mentioned the word 'co*k-sucker' quite a bit in the interviews.... hehe

Perhaps a massive spoiler:

Surely Jon Snow will be reborn as Jon Targaryen?

  • *****SEASON 5 SPOILERS!*******
I'm re-watching series 5 and there are SO many hints that John Snow is set for resurrection.

'Kill the boy, let the man be born'

Melisandre;

'Only to serve my Lord'... as she looks over Snow training.

And so on, and so on. Obviously I don't know what the writers, producers or actors have been up to during pre-production for 6, but I'm 100% convinced the intention during 5 was to have him brought back.

Are you are thinking Beric Dondarrion which will be his 3rd re-cast or “Priest, in his 40s or 50s. A gruff ex-soldier who found religion. Now a no-nonsense rural priest who ministers to the poor of the countryside. He’s salt-of-the-earth man who has weathered many battles.” Ian is 73!

I hope he's not Beric, I liked the old one just fine. Doesn't Beric have a boss? He seemed subordinate to Millesandre when they met. I also don't see how Beric can have anything to do with the big spoilery stuff that Lovejoy is talking about.

IMO Lovejoy should have kept his mouth shut. I don't mind the fact he let things slip but his reaction to that was dickish.

I think Jon Snow is dead, I don't think that means he's gone as a character. I think he could come back as someone different quite easily. There are stories of people being resurrected already so there's precedent.

Speculation wise, several actors have been seen on set who have no reason to be there.

I am putting together my own knowledge, which the probabilities, some of that comes from book knowledge...so I shall answer you fully in the other place. D
