It's like boxing, there's a really good phrase that I can't accurately recall. Matches make fighters, not fighters matches, or something. But it means basically means it can come down to style, probability and allsorts.

PLus all we go off is the narrative, and going off that we can see the capable ones.

Im more worried about the end of the trailer with what happens to tyrion.
He has dwarf blood. They're immune to dragon fire.

Yeah, but it's not a son of a dwarf is he? Although there are theories that Tywin wasn't his father.

Isn't that last few seconds of footage (of the dragon's eyes then flame) from last season (when Dany chucked the master forward for him to get immolated and eaten by the two remaining imprisoned dragons?

No necessary link between Tyrion's clip and the subsequent one...

I am sure they now edit the trailers purposely to fuel speculation

Unlikely as it seems, I sometimes wonder if Brienne will be the only one to make it all the way through the whole show. Mainly because out of everyone she seems to be looking for a noble cause to die for and would be the most bitter to have survived it all.

Also something I've forgotten from last season as it was overshadowed by Meryn Trants death- what was the outcome of the Lannister/Tyrell attempts for better rates from the Iron Bank? They've lost all of the money they gave to Stannis, and the Lannisters, despite their diminished position, now seem the safest pair of hands for the 7 kingdoms.

More thoughts on 'we're done with Dorne.'

We need to be because we're getting;
Iron-born story
Sam at the Citadel story
the return of Bran
whatever is gonna show the Freys/Lannisters

and the Meereen story has split

and we've still got;
the wall
the north now with a split Sansa/Brienne story? incorporating the vale?
Arya ninja school
King's Landing

Not entirely sure they needed the iron born story, but maybe they will surprise me with a brilliant storyline set there.

At least now we have the hope we don't have to spend any more time with the Xena warrior princess rejects in Dorne.

I have a feeling that the IB story will be pretty darn good...

In the books, you wonder why they are there at all when you meet Dorne

As they are left in the show...

It is perhaps an indication they will do something of significance in the books if they have been left in show.

Personally I always thought the most of the new elements introduced in AFFC/ADWD Dorne, Ironborn, Faegon, were just to add colour and world building. Maybe the Ironborn will surprise me and actually be critical to the main plot.

That's kind of my point - Dorne seems to be very significant in the books, with the Iron Born not so much; there has to be a reason therefore that their story continues to be told - assuming of course that we have seen the last of Dorne (I don't think we have TBH)

I hated the Iron Born plot-lines at first especially that one of the characters had multiple names( Aeron/Drownedtw@t/Wet-Blanket... ), but I found they or at least Victarion started to become interesting/relevant at the end of ADWD.

Another thing I've missed, what exactly is Roose referring to with a Lannister army marching north?

I think he is inferring that when the Lanisters find out that Ramsey has married Sansa they will see it as a betrayal and declare war.

Exactly this.

Interesting to see how it pans out .. they now have enemies on all sides pretty much (more so than before).

The thought of Ramsay having a very bad death is tempting, but I hope he survives a little longer as he's such an evil and horrible character. Perhaps even worse than Joffrey!

And I think it only fitting that Sansa is there to witness his (inevitable)? demise.

Ramsay is the worst possible enemy anyone could have, at least Joffrey was a coward, and not bright either. Ramsay is a psychopath, intelligent, with power and fearless.

The Hound/Brienne fight, one of my fave fights, S4 had so many (Mountain/Viper and Hound/Pollver's army), watched them all a few times. A lot of numpties whinged about a woman beating the HOund. But she is the biggest woman in WEsteros, in the books she is almost as big as the Hound and as strong, massively muscular etc. Even if the Hound was weakened by the infected bite it would be close I reckon.
