Ramsay is the worst possible enemy anyone could have, at least Joffrey was a coward, and not bright either. Ramsay is a psychopath, intelligent, with power and fearless.

The Hound/Brienne fight, one of my fave fights, S4 had so many (Mountain/Viper and Hound/Pollver's army), watched them all a few times. A lot of numpties whinged about a woman beating the HOund. But she is the biggest woman in WEsteros, in the books she is almost as big as the Hound and as strong, massively muscular etc. Even if the Hound was weakened by the infected bite it would be close I reckon.
If I can suspend my disbelief to accept dragons, shadow monsters coming out of Melisandres flange and various other mythical plot points I can certainly cope with Brienne giving the Hound a kicking

Interesting theory ive heard today is that the Nights King (Head of the white walkers) is actually the deceased Rhaegar Targaryen and is Jon Snows father from the Rape of Lyanna Stark. Which is why they had that 'look' when they come into close contact north of the wall. It may also explain the kings blood that Jon Snow is meant to have according to Mellisandre and why his sword didn't shatter when fighting the White Walkers. Which would link to 'a song of ice and fire'

Add the theory that its 3 dragons for 3 Targaryens that could be Jon, Danny and maybe Tyrion. Jon maybe able to Warg from the Stark side and thus able to tame the problamatic Drogon

Wasn't that because it's Valyrian steel?

It was a long held theory, proved correct.

Yeah, but it's not a son of a dwarf is he? Although there are theories that Tywin wasn't his father.
I was joking but like the idea of him as a Targaryen biggrin

I'd like to see Ramsay Bolton continue to at least the end of the series. He is my favourite character. It's odd as I disliked Joffrey immensely (Gleeson did a fantastic job) but Ramsay is likeable despite his horrid nature. I think it's the calculated evil rather than the pointless evil we saw with Joffrey hehe

I thought it was a good starter - can't believe how much i had forgotten about the last series i reckon a last three episode of series five might be in order.

a good teaser and i'm glad breanne is still kicking ass - you;d want her on your side!

reminded me that she voices the stormtrooper captain in The Force Awakens!

Is the prince of Dorne dead in the books? From what I've read in the past, I'd always thought that it was Doran/Varys who had helped Danerys flee westeros and that Doran was secretly plotting the downfall of the Lannisters. As it stands the entire Dorne plotline could have been written out and Marcella's head sent to Kings Landing instead of her amulet.

I guess it's hard to introduce a whole new culture this late in the series, but I thought that Dorne was better exemplified by Prince Oberyn and his values rather than what we've actually seen of Dorne, which is a garden with some comic characters and really bad security.

He's still alive in the books.

You are right, it was him that helped them escape with Varys and he was plotting against the Lannisters all along. There's a lot more to Dorne, all of which has been cut out frown (you can read it in the link though if you are curious)

In the show, it was... In the books however, this quote sums Doran up

"I am not blind, nor deaf. I know you all believe me weak, frightened, feeble. Your father knew me better. Oberyn was ever the viper. Deadly, dangerous, unpredictable. No man dared tread on him. I was the grass. Pleasant, complaisant, sweet-smelling, swaying with every breeze. Who fears to walk upon the grass? But it is the grass that hides the viper from his enemies and shelters him until he strikes!"

The thing about Dorne, it could still go both ways in the books and show. Because of the nature of being secretive and long planning.

Is this getting a bit spoilery?

I know the books and TV aren't following exactly the same path but having not read the books, I had no idea Dorne had aided in her escape.

The show vis-a-vis Dorne has now moved ahead...although that's not to guess that stuff may still affect other stuff going on.

I think that Dorne (run by strong women) would be open to working with another strong women to smash the wheel. That way the show cuts out all the tedious background planning of the Dornish and still gets the same end game.
And with another women in charge in the north if she pulls her socks up (finally).
They could change the world.

Who knew GRRM was a feminist?

The only things in the books not yet on the show is the Ironborn plotline, a couple of chapters for Arya and Sam....and one very significant flashback.

Everything else has been covered, omitted, or the same location and characters dealt with by a show original plot.

The main focus now is book storylines spoiled by the show, and this seems the appropriate place to discuss them.

Not IMHO.

It's not telling you anything that will happen in an episode now. As all the protagonists that discussed it are dead/did not exist in the TV show.

Whether or not you know that Dorne aided in the escape of D&V makes no difference to how you watch the TV show.

If I'm telling you something historical that 'could' still be part of the series, I spoiler it; as I did when answering the Melisandre questions a couple of pages ago.
