Red priests have form for resurrecting the dead. Melisandre is a red priest. Seems straightforward enough. But what does it cost? These things are never free.

Consequences - she regains her faith, and perhaps has another cause. Is Snow's oath satisfied? Is his watch ended, can he now go and interfere in the politics of the country?
Well, what did she get for sacrificing Stannis' daughter? Don't think that life has ever been repaid.

This review of S06E02 is fking brilliant:

That would be an unusual reversal of the trope, usually you get the bill after the magic.

There should be some cost to the resurrectee

It's only the one resurrection, but I'm aure we can expect something to have changed. Surely he will line up and execute the men who killed him too.

I am so bored of the Arya storyline now. Her Season 5 was a dirge, and so it continues here.

The show is moving that plot along in a much better way than the books, which seemed to have hundreds of pages with her blind and doing nothing..

Yeah, I'm expecting a Rocky type training montage after which her eye-sight will return.

yes Didn't she spend @ 3 months as each character? And we've only seen about a weeks worth of story for 2...

While I'm moaning, I also find the recent Lannister storyline utterly unconvincing. Most of last series. Yes yes yes, rise of religious nutters but the idea that they'd be able to put the queen and the kings mum in prison, mistreat them and let no-one see them is ridiculous. Its like the Kings Guard have ceased to exist. I realise the King is meant to be a bit weak, but I would expect even a tweenie to just lose it and say 'Soldiers! Go and smash everyone involved up right now!' and it would just happen. Especially when Cersei was marched through the streets. Very silly.

For an entire story set in a world where might makes right, its just not believable.

How many people are left on her list?

That we know are still alive, I think.

Ilyn Payne, Cersei, Mellisandre, Walder Frey.

Frey must be on it, but I can't recall her saying the list since the Red Wedding.

So she might head back to King's Landing then.

Why is Mel on the list? (I've completely forgotten!)

I think it's difficult for the writers doing the characters storylines out of sequence / timeframe from each other.

Arya was awesome when she was with the Hound IMO, just kicking ass and becoming a real killer. Now she's doing the faceless thing, it obviously takes a very, very long time and there's not much else they can show us other her being hit by a stick each episode.

She maybe could've benefited from a season off like Bran, so she returns after a sufficient time as a face-shifting assassin.

Amen to that. Sparrow and his minions look like a bunch of untrained kamikazes at best.

You are right. She was interesting. Now she isn't. Its a big climbdown for her. She should come back when she is interesting again.

They can't win one way or the other.

"Oh they're lazy and didn't show her progress"
"Oh the progress is boring, just hurry it up"

The few scenes we get are fine IMO and her stroyline should hit awesomeness by the end of this season.
