The show is moving that plot along in a much better way than the books, which seemed to have hundreds of pages with her blind and doing nothing..
yes Didn't she spend @ 3 months as each character? And we've only seen about a weeks worth of story for 2...
Not read the books that far, but it did feel like it should have lasted a lot longer. Felt a bit rushed to me, but then I appreciate that they need to keep all the stories moving on.
Difficult one this isn't it? It clearly did seem rushed, we didn't get any real idea of her trails or suffering. But how dull would it have been having to watch it all? They can't win!

I think we're overestimating Walder Frey by assuming he'd be that bothered by one of his daughters being killed.

He didn't care when Cath had a knife to his then-wife's throat.
He was pretty cheesed off about someone refusing to marry one of them...
He probably doesn't give a toss about her personally but he will see it as a slap in the face

And he is still holding the heir to the Riverlands Edmure Tully as a hostage/bargaining point. If he fathers a son with Frey's daughter then Frey will have the Riverlands.

Frey has always been looked down upon by the other houses as unworthy of marrying into and he's more than a little bitter about it. He's had numerous knockbacks from grand houses when he's tried to marry off his family into some bigger more "legitimate" families and took King Rob's betrayal as a massive insult.

I doubt he cares for his dead daughter, but yet again he's gone from tying his family into that of the Warden of the North, to having his family disregarded and thrown aside by an old Northern house. He'll be livid and probably happy to cut a deal with the Lannisters/ littlefinger to have Ramsey killed as Rob was, provided he doesn't risk losing anything of course.

I love the duplicity and complexity. Littlefinger and Walder Frey could almost be working class heroes, the only thing stopping you rooting for them is the unfortunate fact that they're both utter bds!biggrin

Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has already been pondered, just watched this weeks episode, seems clear to me now that Tyrian is in fact a Targeryan and one of the three heads of the Dragon, if you go back some way his father was Hand of the mad and last Targeryan King and he had a thing for Tywins wife. With Tyrian mentioning his obsession with Dragons and the way the Dragons reacted to him I would put good money on him being Cerseis half brother. So three heads of the dragon, Tyrian, Cersei and I reckon Jon Snow although not completely clear of the link here yet.
Mark my words - Jon Snow may be half Targeryan but he's not the third dragon rider. My money is on a Tyrell (with Targeryan blood) instead.

Going on the old book of hair that Ned Stark used to suss out Joffrey, the only character with Targaryen coloured hair is Brienne.

Will - that's a bit out there as a theory, there's been zero hint of any other potential targ bds running around...

Personally cannot see past Dany/Jon/Tyrion as the three heads. Plenty of supporting hints and likely paths.

Anyone thinking that B&W are feeling a little unshackled by the pace of the books? Up until now everything has moved at roughly the pace of the books, now they're ahead the pace seems to have kicked up several notches...

I was amazed when they said they could finish by the end of season 8, now I'm thinking that it's very likely.

Yes, but the Red Wedding happened because Rob didn't marry one of his daughters. The Frey's have now lost power/influence/security now that his daughter was killed.

Would look a tad suspicious, though. Roose, his wife and son all dying at the same time..

True, although definitely a closed casket funeral...

I would of have thought that Bran may control one by Warging...

I also can't see Tyrion riding a dragon, I am sure that in the books another character tells Tywin that Tyrion is more like him than Jamie.

Almost too many hints - I get the feeling there is a twist waiting for us. The colours of the dragons don't make sense otherwise.

Drogon: Black & Red - Colours of House Targaryen. Already ridden by Dany.
Viserion: Gold & Red - Colours of House Lannister. Tyrion's?
Rhaegal : Green & Gold - Colours of House Tyrell. ???

Why would two dragons match the colours of their riders, but not the third? GRRM doesn't do this kind of thing by accident, Rhaegal is green and gold for a reason. Quite what that reason is, is another matter!

Perhaps, although I thought that only 'simple' animals (and Hodor) could be taken control of?

There's been no mention of the Lannisters getting wind of Ramsey being betrothed to Sansa Stark yet either has there? Or are they going to be too distracted by the high sparrow to deal with that at present

Book Spoilers on Tyrion and Tywin
Genna Lannister says this to Jaime:
"Jaime, sweetling, I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak... but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you. I said so once to your father's face, and he would not speak to me for half a year."

And Tywin and Tyrion themselves have this exchange:
“You . . . you are no . . . no son of mine.”
“Now that’s where you’re wrong, Father. Why, I believe I’m you writ small."

... Except when Littlefinger came to Kings Landing after being summoned from Winterfell upon which he told Cersei that Roose was sheltering her, with plans to marry her to his legitimized bd son.

After which Cersei asked Littlefinger to bring her Sansa's head and she would make him warden of the north after taking out the Boltons.

I think the Boltons are screwed. They'll go out bitterly, but they will go. Ramsay has none of the political cunning of his Father (which has been a reinforced theme every time he goes off to collect taxes or whatever)has repeatedly said that marriage into the Stark household was the key and it's been repeated since S1 that you can't hold the north by force of arms alone. And after Ramsay, who's left to pick up the pieces?
