Awesome theory. I had thought of the Tyrells marching in and taking over Kings Landing in a repeat of what Tywin did to the Mad King. But I didn't think of the Tyrells and Faith Militant taking each other out with the Llanisters mopping up.

Even so, it would seem poor politics- the Llanister/Tyrell pairing is about the only solid alliance in Westeros, and Joffrey was a lousy king compared to what Tommen will be. But, as Jamie said- fk everyone who isn't us! And they did want to take back all that was taken from them.

I like this theory. It also means they'll be screwed should Dorne/LittleFinger return... At the same time, would Loras have known about Littlefinger? Maybe he comes down the be made warden of the north only to get a knife in the back!

That's a great find, that is something the High Sparrow has likely found out, but he is too shrewd to just tell Tommen without a plan of his own.

I think that by the time A Dream of Spring is finished GRRM will be older than Melisandre.
Let's hope he doesn't find a beautiful redhead transformation necklace eek

Knowing the evil git he is he'd probably seduce an innocent fan, mount him and then take the necklace off at climax to reveal his true form.

Something else to consider, what motivated him to go with Cersei's version of the truth, when could have equally believed Margaery & Loras and gone after Lancel & Olyvar.

That is a political move, not a religious one.

Cersei keeps on mentioning it.... Something about seeing all her children die or something similar

The first scene of either season 4 or 5 (can't remember which) showed a childhood cersei speaking to a witch who predicted she would have three kids and they would all die, two down, one to go.

In the first episode of S5, Cersei has a flashback to her childhood when she orders a witch to tell her future. She is told she will not marry the prince, but the king. That she will be queen but thrown down by another more beautiful who will take all she holds dear. And that she will have three children who will wear golden crowns and golden shrouds- implying that she will outlive all of her children.

This is why she isn't angry at Jamie when he returns in S6 with dead Marcella, and why he says "fk prophesy. fk everyone who isn't us!"

Are these the Welsh cousins of the Lannisters? Haven't seen much of them yet.

The missing accent from GoT!

I like to put an effort in with spelling, but GoT really is an effort sometimes. biggrin Tyrell/Tyrrel, Jaqen/Jakken/Jaquen, Viserys/Varys, Daenerys can become Dany, I'm fine with that!

Has GRRM mentioned how he came up with the names? Robert Baratheon sounds very King-y to me, just as Lannister sounds rich and Seaworth sounds lower-middle class, but they are all fictional.

It's not the only one. I have noticed that despite all the regional british accents there aren't any scousers or brummies in it.....

Shouldn't the Iron Islanders have Irish accents?

"Americans are still unconvinced that England is a real country, and associate English speech patterns with kings and magic and sorcery and frequent stabbings."

It explains partially why Cersei is the way she is, and greatly why she despises Margery the way she does.

Blaming Margery for the hand of fate, very Lannister.

"Gold, their shrouds" could also be Lannister wealth hiding their illegitimacy.

Brilliantly ambiguous yet again.
