So in next week's trailers...who is that bloke on horseback that rides to Bran?
Benjen. Tonight's episode shows the planning Martin has put in. There's no other reason for Benjen to exist as far as I can see.

Benjen or Coldhands? Benjen can't be alive as human surely? He's been gone for so long.

It's unlikely but possible. One man could slip around the Wildlings and possibly the white Walkers

Could be Coldhands as well

Are the Starks just genetically stupid or something?

Ned refuses Cersei's offer to return to winterfell, despite her invoking their earlier discussion implying that things were about to take a turn for the worse.

Rob marries wrong, against advice from everyone. And takes Karstarks head, against advice from everyone!

Sansa tells Littlefinger he's either an idiot or enemy and she doesn't trust him... Then trusts his advice regarding the Blackfish. Then lectures a roomful of hardened meritocratic warriors about how loyal people are to the Stark name, despite having witnessed nothing but betrayal of that same name since leaving Winterfell as a child. She's nuttier than Caitlyn was!

Bran is a cripple living in a tree with a girl of a species presumed extinct for centuries, to whom he owes his life, and a millenium old level 4000 warg master. Despite being repeatedly told not to break anything, he goes to the most dangerous place he can all by himself, fks up, kills his dog, all of the Children who saved his life, leaves Hodor for dead and ruins his entire adulthood by screwing his brain up.

Maybe they were better in the past, but Neds kids seem grade A morons. Jon Snow can't be Neds, he's too bright.

Wasn't Rob like 14 yo or something, and he's the oldest? Granted, Ned and Caitlyn were too much on "tradition" and "honor", but their kids are really just kids.

Bye bye Wylis, you held the door so that Bran may live. frown

This time paradoxing situation is certainly unusual though. Things that have happened are yet to happen... ie. Bran warging into young Hodor to make him into Hodor. What a bloody story line though, "Hold the door!"' All those seasons, all that time.

I found Ayra's reaction to the play interesting, she's no more a Faceless Man than I. I can see her learning the use of faces, taking some as disguise and running off.

Glad to avoid King's Landing this episode, hopefully the story line there and Meereen ramps up a bit now towards the end of the season, as nothing has happened in either city. Daenerys returning with the Dothraki hoard should be interesting.

Sansa should definitely take up an offer from Littlefinger for some Vale army, she's learned how to keep him at arms length even if she was to go back and take his offer of help. She could still have him offed later on and bully her weirdo cousin into providing what she needs.

Yeah, and to be fair to Ned he was handed responsibility at a young age too, so I think he took the whole Honor thing a bit too religiously out of compensation for his lost real world education.

I still think Sansa has messed up massively.

Arya inadvertently playing herself in the play was quite good I thought.

Made me think of two things-

1/ Could Bran be the guy in the tree teaching himself?

2/ Bran can speak to people in the past and can change the past. GoT will end with the whitewalkers just about to wipe everyone out, just as Bran makes it to a wierwood tree and goes back to convince the Chdren not to make them in the first place. Then he wakes up in winterfell and finds he can still walk and Hodor can talk.

Ned thought that as he was the King's hand and he struck up the deal with Littlefinger he would be ok didn't he? He didn't think Cersei had any power there and Ned also had the signed letter from Robert explaining Ned would look over the throne till Roberts rightful heir came of age.

Rob's marriage was just out of love. He didn't care what a Frey would think. Young love is sometimes stupid.

Sansa obviously hates Baelish for parting her off with Ramsey. She used his advice on the Blackfish to her advantage as she was the one that wants Winterfell back? And obviously Ramsey dead.

Bran is just young and stupid. Despite being told by the TER that he can drown in the past and he needs to be careful he goes against his advice. Can see why considering how cool it is being able to see into the past. Who wouldn't do that? hehe
Theorys are that if Bran steps through the wall now that the Night King would be able to, thus Bran would be bringing the wall down.

Can't wait for next week. And the week after. And the week after.
Only problem is i'm in Cyprus getting married 19th June-3rd July so will miss a couple episodes!

The fact that this theory is potentially true and could happen, but could also be wildly inaccurate to the point of being mental is what makes GoT so great. I hope we get to see the rest of what happened at the Tower of Joy, is it Jon or could there be something completely different that happened there? It must have serious significance to warrant flashback scenes.

Azor Ahai could be the theory that comes true, is it Jon or the new red Priestess seems to think it's Daenerys or is all that just a smokescreen for a bigger picture?
